Anet, before you guys even think about implementing something as unnecessary as repair hammers, how about first you fix the stupid amount of lag in WvW?

Anytime my zerg of 20-25 goes near an enemy blob of 50-60 players, everyone in my group lags out like crazy. How about you address that first, huh?

In general i agree, but that is like telling sombody to finally solve any hunger in the world before putting a picture on the wall. Two completly different categories of work to be done.

I doubt that the same devs are working on this.
Lag has to do with server architecture and server/client communication,and only very few devs who have been there since the beginning get along in this mess. (Which is why it takes an eternity to make changes in that regard.)

Really, solving the issue of “lag” is extremely difficult. I mean extremely difficult. It could potentially mean re-structuring the entire object-priority system, or putting special host servers in weird off-site places. All in all, the lag is as good as it’s going to get for quite some time. Cut those designated A-net employees some slack. They have probably already done a phenomenal job.

The issue of “lag” is game wide in the sense that any real fixes to address it (other than changing WvW specific spawns etc. which they already did) is in areas of the game that are global even if the issue primarily manifests in WvW due to the nature of how it is played.

The gist of this being, what you are asking for WvW team to fix is not something they would ever be responsible in fixing in the first place. The fix, if it exists at all, is some fairly low level backend work not something a team consisting most likely of game designers and content/gameplay programmers would address.

Saying solve hte lag issue is making it sound ALOT easier than it is. Stop and think about what that lag is for a minute and youl start to get the picture. I by no means do this for a living but I understand atleast that if they could fix this as easily as people THINK they can it would have been fixed a long time ago. Infact literally every mmo in the game would have fixed it by now. And as it is EVERY MMORPG has this issue in large scale combat. Without exception.

Its possible that there is NOT a solution with our current technology that is cost effective. (Doesn’t cost so much they would simply be losing money to do it. Which means it would be unsustainable.)

Your demanding something that might not even exist and thinking thats normal.
