Lag in WvW has been significantly reduced?

I think it will get somewhat better around 4/4…
No, I just got notified that multiple topics regarding lag have been moved to the trash.
I guess that’s one way to deal with the problem…
Arent there just a lot less people playing WvW at this point? I sure see less people then 6 months ago, thats for sure.

I’m sure at least one of those could have been cleaned up without losing more than a couple posts, but it’s not my/our opinion of what is constructive or not that matters in the end.

I’m pretty sure they were using the wvw servers to host the Lion’s arch overflows. This would explain why the lag suddenly appeared when the event started, and suddenly disappeared when it ended.
Spirit of Faith [HOPE] – RIP
They moved one of the Threads about this which now says it can’t be found.
That says it all about their attitude towards getting this fixed once and for all, even though many more Hamsters are needed to power their Servers.

I see what you did there…

That’s probably what got at least one of those other topics trashed. Even though I’d still argue that it’s constructive, because it’s likely true. This is a terrible time to be sweeping wvw issues under the rug and pretending they don’t exist.

Upgrading to the Intel486 DX servers really seemed to help.

I don’t see any more threads here complaining about crippling lag and constant disconnects in WvW, so I’m assuming that those problems have been fixed to the satisfaction of all. Glad to hear it.
<tongue pokes hole in side of cheek>
The thread that showed that the servers are having serious issues in WvW have been infracted and deleted.
I can understand if a single posting was out of line but mine and many others were not.
We WERE respectful and even pleading…
I just lost connection in WvW – again – 12 times last night and it’s not stopping.
Upgrading to the Intel486 DX servers really seemed to help.
I love the irony of that…
Still lagging.
Still disconnecting – like crazy.
Program actually took this picture while disconnecting.

kitten dude. Get that next progression step in yak slapper!
It appears that several people here missed the tongue-in-cheek part of my original post. I’m well aware that at least two threads complaining about severe lag in WvW suddenly disappeared.

Indeed, I like to thank anet for noticing the issues with the game and dealing with them quickly and efficiently!
I am now safe in the knowledge that GW2 is now a much better game for all.
Remember to buy the officially endorsed GW2 Steel Series Keyboard, it supports macros!
WvW, we only care if it affects the servers we play on.

I don’t think they achieved anything by doing that. There are just as many new threads on the topic, and the ‘Streisand Effect’ coming into play due to the deleted ones. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Streisand_effect
