When? Where?

I played several hours last night and didn’t have any real issues.

For that matter, what is the point of making a thread if your not going to exercise the fore sight to offer the specifics to allow them to try to track the issue and fix it? It is almost as if players don’t want them to solve issues, the way so many make snap complaint post with no real information.

Just play now, no need info. Just play. Last night I played perfectly too. Anet recently has increased the limit of the map after decreasing it some time ago due to lag problems.
Those lag problemas are back. At least in Kodash-River-Baruch MU.

Had sick lag in EB today after reset. Tried casting a static field like 8 times. The lag rly get’s massive in 3 way figths.

That was 3 days ago. I haven’t had any issues since. I haven’t heard any discussion about it in server TS either.

I guess reset this evening would be the most likely time to see if any hits. Then again, I tend not to have lag often when I see others complain about it. Though I have a really good ISP, and live close to the real world server locations. Which is why I personally suspect a fair bit of lag complained about is outside their control.

Speaking of lag. We had an interesting thing happen to us that’s never happened before. As we were humping the portal most of my guild had some kind of thing where the game lagged as we were pressing “f”. It wouldn’t register at all for about half our raid.

Once I got into the BL it wasn’t terrible, but it was, at times, more noticeable than last week. And yes there were some fights where it was a 111111 slugfest. Kinda bad on a necro I guess.

Yep same here yesterday and just now on EB, insane lag is backittenpt on walking up a pair of stairs only to start back over 4 times in a row.
On a fight, even outside the zerg fight my f1 did nothing, my skill 1 did nothing.

Totally insane lag atm.
Was in EB 1 min ago and havent lagged this much in a long time. No skills no noting worked. Nothing more to do than to just leave

Didn’t see any lag on reset night and we had queued maps. In fact, it was smoother than usual. Might be an EU server issue.

That or they need to breed stronger hamsters to power the potatoes that run the servers.

Alright, experienced some pretty awful skill lag in EB last night. It does really seem like something is up with EB as large fights were in the borderlands without trouble.

The hamsters are overworked :/

Lag is real, don’t listen to people that claim it’s not Anet’s problem. I have great ping and the skill lag is simply terrible during any 3-way encounters. 2-way seems ok unless there’s another blob on the same map elsewhere.

Yep, the lag is definitely real. Been real for 3 days now, at least for me.

The good thing about it, and yes that is sarcasm, is that you can feel the zerg moving towards you again

For me too, although we only have roamers on all sides but my opponents seem to port and jump all over the place.
Edit: Forgot, also had/have this on the green borderland.
Edit²: 44-77 ping in game, no packet loss (and constant 36 ping in pingplotter).

Lag was terrible last night during SEA prime. I had 2-3 second skill lag and also got 3 disconnects.

Can the devs please reply and acknowledge our new introduced lag issues and let us know you’re aware of it or working on it?

Not only EB, lag like no tomorrow in the borderlands as well. Skill lag, server lag, all kind of lag.

Last friday at reset we had CRAZY lagg at EB, it was a 2 way fight between SFR and Deso.
Couldn’t use any skill at all. We had massive skill lagg and very high ping. (dunno exactly how high).

Blackgate and SEA player here, din’t suffer massive lags during reset but it started 2 days ago 3/08/2015 even 15v15 fight resulted in rubberbanding and game freeze. Checked all my connection it is not from my end, everyone complained lag in the map and in TS. Korean and Australian players also reported massive rubberbanding last night in EB and BGBL during medium encounters too. Anet servers are getting fried really bad.

The lag exists for the pure and simple reason Anet/NCsoft will not put thier hands in thier pockets and update thier servers to much more powerfull/current hardware.

I doubt they even have each border on a seperate physical dedibox (which even i can afford so don’t bull us and say it’s expanensive), i also doubt the server client even uses the resources available on the physical server properly and i’d wager the servers they use run on Windows which as a game server client OS is shockingly bad, ask any FPS gamer what your dedi box should run and they’l ltell you linux everytime.

Yeah, the big fights are a real problem. Stun breakers and condition clean don’t fire half the time. You pretty much have to spam skills in advance and hope.

Lagging since 3 days. Hardly.

I had massive lag last night & when i say massive it’s massive & it’s was not only me our whole zerg was lagging.
it’s wasn’t even 3 way, spamming 1 didn’t work in those lagfest.
I spammed [Shelter] for 20 times hoping to survive but the game said “nope , not today bruh”

Lag was painful on EB for reset.

Lag on skills so we can’t play properly. Can someone please do something about this huge problem ? It’s been 4 months we have to deal with it and it’s still here. It appears that the skill lag came from the patch about the stability. It’s a calculation problem. Please do something …

lag is back to insane proportions like it was a year ago or so. Fix your godkitten game before you’re making an expansion. Your servers cant even handle the load right now.

What an odd thing to say. There are less then 20 posters in this thread, out of the 7,500,000 copies of this game that sold.

I would say it is more like 7,400,000 (I will generously give your actual 27 posters credit for representing a hundred thousand) who do not have lag issues to any relevant level enough to cause then to comment on it.

Since you asked though, I simultaneously, upgraded by processor in the same week I upgraded to a better ISP.

Everyone on my server and the opponent ones have this lag. None of them however go to the forum and post about the lag. Because they know anet doesnt give a kitten about wvw and the lag.
It doesnt have anything to do with an isp or your pc, it’s the server that cannot handle the load.

That makes no sense as a justification for you claiming to speak for them. Are you in EU? I am not seeing these issues in NA T1.

What server are you on?

By the way, it is a fact that both of those issue can and will cause skill lag. Both of which have been explained in detail in multiple threads how and why.

Maybe there arent that big battles in NA? I’m not sure. I’ve been playing on EU on the FSP server if you go EB border you can experience lag every day in the prime time. I’m hoping anet are looking into this even thoug they don’t let us know in the forum.

There are regularly large battles in NA.

The thing is, for some reason EU has infinitely more lag then NA. So to me, it really begs the question of why it is a problem in EU and not NA?

Anet please reduce the cap again. The ‘lag is real’ and unplayable. A lot of people are complaining in-game about the lag, come on listen to wvw players and revert the population cap back to what it was before.

time to upgrade their hardware…..
