Anyone else experiencing this more than usual? Is this on ANet’s radar?

I’m not talking about the skill lag that happens during large fights and 3-ways. This is something new, where you experience a 5-10 second lag spike every few minutes, sometimes leading to a disconnect. Only happens in WvW.

I’ve been running packet tests from my PC to ISP servers, and to guildwars2.com. Showing steady latency to both, no jitter, no packet loss. Speedtests are steady too. When the lag spikes do happen, I look at the ping test window and my ping is steady 40-50ms to guildwars2.com the whole time I’m lagging out in-game…

Would like to see a response about this before leagues start.

yes yes and yes! exactly the same problem that I have atm, the lagspike followed by a disconnect, and sometimes it does not even disconnect me, I just stand there, and cant use any skills , but the chat still updates just fine, usally I have to shut down the game myself, extremely annoying to say the least…

I’ve noticed this most often on the SoS BL. I’ve never seen the same problem on any other map, including EB, even with massive numbers on the map. (Just normal skill lag then.) I don’t think it’s at all related to numbers on the map, as on SoS BL we can be NOT outmanned (a rare gift), still only have 20ish people on the map tops, and massive skill spikes that lead to a disconnect about 2 minutes later.

Now that you mention it…this is where I’ve noticed most of my lag issues as well. Was just on SoS BL and got DCed 3 times in about 15 minutes. Moved to another map, and things were better. Still got a little lag, but not as bad and no DCs.

I know a while ago (maybe 6 months), there was a similar issue with JQ BL when JQ was the red team. And for weeks after that, it seemed like whoever was the red team in Tier 1, their borderland was a wasteland because no one could stay connected. Looks like that issue is back. Maybe there’s a hardware issue in the server cluster?
