Guild Wars 2

For the past week or more the game has been unplayable in all aspects for OCX players as a result of extremely high latency which ranges anywhere from 1 – 4 thousand ping. In its current state this is inhibiting the game-play and leisure of an entire region and ArenaNet has not acknowledge the issue.

i’m from OCX, they simply…do…not…care

Lag has been bad for my guild, which is largely based in OCX (Aus, NZ, Indo etc) – skill delays, disconnects.. all sorts of problems.

I’ve had lag spikes recently but it hasn’t been consistent.

Did you run a traceroute or any ping tests to determine where the latency is occurring? If the problem is somewhere on the internet between Southeast Asia and the Anet servers in the US, there’s very little (probably nothing) that Anet can do about it.

As an PvP player from Australia, I’ve been running ranked all week constantly and have t had any latency issues, been holding steady at 250ms on my trusty ADSL 1 connection.
