Your country is just one of the many, many countries whose people play this game. I don’t know why you feel so special. Gold/silver/bronze is a standard in the world and it’s clear for everyone what exactly it is and what value it has. Names should stay the way they are.
We already know all winners, we already know how this is affecting population spread, we already know how most of those 7 weeks matches will be.
Please inform the less prescient among us. Spill the beans. Do tell us this predictable, inevitable results that we all supposedly know. So we have it on record.
Nobody at Anet loves WvW like Grouch loved PvP. That’s what we need, a WvW Grouch, but taller.

It is the “best” league and thus it have the “most valuable” name.
If you win a race you do win gold after all.
Well gold is only the 2nd most valuable metal, so for your (crappy) sense of logic, shouldn’t the leagues be :
Platinum League for 1-6
Gold League for 7-15
Rhodium League for 16-24
