I work on my WvW builds, and try to remain vigilant and responsive to commands when in squad. It seems only fair that I should know who I’m sharing my hard-earned WvW credit with. Most of the time when commanders provide shared credit, I believe the credit shared in a fair and worthy manner. Unfortunately, I also have become aware of some abuse.

I’m pretty sure people marked as scouts (receiving shared participation) get a icon on squad. But you need to make the squad window a bit larger to see it.

Since we cant even get Anet to show us who’s in the party other than changing the color from blue to slightly-lighter-but-unnoticably-different blue – despite Anet dev response and discussion on it – this wont happen.

Also, as far as I know it take no participation away from you, it gives them a percentage of yours. According to the UI (if I remember correctly) its only within the party, not the squad. A “scout” in his own party would earn zero participation from party members. According to the wiki however its from the entire squad. I really have no idea whats true as I havent tested.

Either way I dont even see commanders use scouts nowadays, lol.
