How about we give golems two modes, siege mode and anti personnel mode.

Basically give golems two diferent ability bars that you can toggle between with a long cool down or cast time in between them.

Anti personnel mode should focus on sustaining heavy single target damage, and medium to low AOE damage. Imagine if a ballista and an arrow cart had a baby with legs. Also an anti golem missile or beam or something would be good. So golems can counter each other.

And of course siege mode should be good at bashing down gates, or taking out cannons and oil in the case of omegas.

Thoughts?

Interesting. However I feel that there should specifically be a siege weapon designed to counter golems so that they remain balanced.

Why not just add a new golem blueprint instead of allowing them to transform?

Now that I think about it, you know what would be cool? Siege tanks, SC style. You drive them around and they can’t do much but plink at fortifications, but you can deploy them and they turn into beasts.
