Guild Wars 2

So since I started playing this game I’ve done WvWvW and Race/Story quests. Where can I get gear?

I have 5g total, and exotic gear on the TP is 3+ gold a piece. . .

I looked for Karma exotic gear, and read about one dude selling gear in some Citadel in Orr, but after running around this place for an hour I was unable to find the path that leads to him or the Vista that he’s next to.

So. . .where else can I get Cleric/Beserker gear that is NOT a dungeon? There’s plenty of single player games for me to play if I wanted to play PvE, that’s not what I’m looking to do here.

PS, I dont care about looks, just stats. Thanks in advance

Crafting proffencies can make exotic aswell

You can buy it with dungeon tokens. These also have the better looking skins.

You can also get it from karma vendors in Orr.

If you’re poor, I’d suggest doing dungeon runs for token. You get 60token per path in a dungeon per day. You can get a set of armor and weapon in a week and a half or so.

Or stick to spvp.

For a full cleric/berserker set you would have to craft. A full set requires 56-75 ectoplasm depending on weapons and whether or not you have the karka shell trinket. You would also need gems(rubies,emeralds, ect.) which are easy to get and orichalcum which can be easy or difficult to get depending on how many 60+ characters you have and the spawn points in the eb jumping puzzle. The rare crafting materials for cleric/berserker are expensive and I have found drop seldom even with a full magic find set on. The high level cloth and leather is generally cheap. If you are lucky you will have blacklion kits to break down lvl 78+ yellows into ectos. I think I have obtained 4 total over all my dailies. If you are lucky when you do map completion in the lvl 80 areas the exotic you get will have a rune or sigil in it worth many gold which you can get out of it with a blacklion kit plus the possibility of ectos.

The cleric/berserker armor itself is only 30 ectos plus mats but I’m including all slots since I assume that’s what your looking at. It’s a time investment and something you pretty much have to plan ahead for. I think the chance of turning 4 78+ greens into a 78+ yellow at the mystic forge has dropped significantly. I think the odds used to be about 1/3 but I haven’t seen anything in the last 10 tries.

The three karma sets are relatively easy to get if you do dailies and the monthly to build up karma jugs then use a karma booster when you consume them. (They were even easier when you could do the winter event jumping puzzle for karma flasks but that is in the past.)

If you are poor but are unwilling to get more money through PvE, I’d suggest making money and karma by (assisting in) capping objectives in WvW.

A full set of Cleric/Berserker when bought on the TP should be around 15-20g or somewhere along those lines. Next to that you can obtain ‘God armor’ sets in Orr for 42k karma per piece when the vendors are available.
