was just wondering as i want to level a char from 1-80 in WvWvW what the best class would be and also any tips, i had a look around about 20min ago on a elementalist and on blacktide i seem to never be able to find a zerg, and when i do the enemy zerg just out does us every time, it seemed impossible to get xp beings my server was never taking towers or keeps, even camps tbh.

I would suggest getting to level 10 first so you have a few skills, but other than that leveling on WvW is fine, stay with a large group and its usually pretty fast if your group takes anything.

Does your server have an alliance you can get involved in which has events? i usually find these events to be the fastest way to level

well i have been playing for about a month now so i am not sure about an alliance but i would also like a class suggestion because i have no clue what ones are good for WvWvW leveling, also ty for tips phoexnix

Anything that has AOE attacks ranged attacks is probably a good bet, Elementalists, Engineers etc

Since if you can damage a group of players and your friends kill him you get some experience.

Naturally tanky classes like Guardians are also good since they can stay alive long enough to get the points from a siege even if they are a lower level.

thanks, im going to try an engineer, for levels 10-20/30 should i focus on taking camps and killing dolyaks/sentrys? also what area is best to run around in? EB, or your own battleground?

For engineer you want to get grenades, they can be buffed to 1500 range which keeps you at the back.

Stay with the main group if you can, focus on the big targets if you are in a group and the camps and smaller targets if you can’t find that group, after level 40 or so it will be much easier to play since you can have your elite and some good traits

You can either go for Critical or condition with an engineer, I find critical stronger but its personal choice. Rifle if you are crit, pistols if you are condition

Leveling in WvW doesn’t have anything to do with what class you are to be honest.. You don’t get a lot of exp from kills(except for in the case of defending tower/keeps in which case just hop on some siege), you get it from the events. Some of the fastest ways include having a small group doing circles around the map flipping supply camps or repairing a wall that is under constant treb attack (pls use supplies from a camp, not from the tower/keep).

All the chars listed in my sig were primarily leveled in wvw, except for the necro which did some pve because I was on a server during that week that I didn’t like the WvW of.
