Some ideas for for discussion in no particular order:
- Settings. Could game settings be separated from WvW and PVE to allow ease of use between ‘PVE best’ and ‘WvW performance’.
- WXP Ranks. Is having the bronze, silver, gold etc as the higher progression less interesting and indicative than using Invader…Knight…Legend etc? For example: Invader > Bronze Invader > Silver Invader > … > Diamond Invader > Assaulter > Bronze Assaulter > and so forth. Would players rather work towards ‘Legend’ than ‘Platinum’?
- Portrait Professions. Could the portraits in WvW have the profession symbols added as is in sPvP.
- NPCs. There’s a larger, brighter, more appealing PvE world out there with NPCs. Could trash be cleared from WvW to alleviate frustration from ‘in combat’, obstructions, interruptions and rallying from a kill situations.
- Targeting. Target boxes are small and seemingly irregular at times? Click to target often selects nothing when groups are stacked. Tab-targeting can select player pets over players; a target just behind you instead of in front, and targetables that are more than 1500 units in the distance.
- Red Target. Often used to add a much required visual aid to a raid leader in organised play, could a different colour guild target be used instead and allow this red target to be used within groups for much better tactical play.
- GvG Arena. Keep it simple? Nuff said.
- Completed Events. The medals that appear – could they have a short duration before automatically disappearing, for a quality of life change.
- Courier Speed. I don’t notice a difference between its 50% increase and the normal Swiftness increase. Is it working? Could it be a greater speed if not and / or last a few seconds longer.
- WXP Capping Rules. Could these be more consistent. Sometimes you are required to stand in a circle, sometimes hit a guard, sometimes a gate…sometimes a combination? Are bugs persisting?
- Nameplates. Very far away players can be seen but their plates do not show. Could red and green be shown at least for these. When players die their plate colours stay the same as alive players, making it difficult to approximate numbers / potential threat etc. Could dead players be grey.
- Loot bags. These are at times ‘push-teleporting’ you when they are generated, from your stationary position, potentially causing you to fall from edges. Why is it AoE loot is in a priority system?
- Click and Turn Camera. Since beta: if from holding the right mouse button you continue to hold, depress the left button, release the right – the camera is not made pan able from the held left button and acts as a pointer only. This stutters play often in combat when panning the camera and moving using the mouse buttons.
- Rally and Resurrection. Whittling down much larger groups can be impossible when players are resurrected so easily from a dead state, and spawned as way points are made usable for very brief moments during contestation. Mass rallying from a single foe (NPC trash or PUG is terrible) often negates the tactical push you may have made.
- Mouse Pointer. Could increasing visibility on this be made available. It gets lost in the fray of FX; very much so for ‘one-click AoE’ users.
- Crouching Thief, hidden Mesmer. Doing the ‘mesmer check’ after capping is boring. If a ‘perma-stealth’ thief and a dead mesmer are present inside a captured node, it would require persistence surveillance to prevent the option of an enemy portal-cap.
