They confirmed what me and many others suspected:
- GW2 is a PvE centered game (how else could you explain the amount of Living World/livestreams and content compared to WvW)
- WvW is a minigame designed for casuals who like to ride a mega blob/karma train that mostly does PvD (and when there are actual enemies the biggest blob wins thanks to the lag), siege wars (more like siege domination “HAHA YOU CAN’T GET INSIDE BECAUSE OF OUR 10 ARROWCARTS!!1”) and think that actualy means something. In other words, WvW is an ego booster for the PvE folk (“I can kill people who don’t know how to play except to follow a blue dorito yay!”)
Tbh I’m glad, now I can finally quit.

I’m a timetraveler…
They showed almost nothing except useless and outdated masteries. They continue to ignore the real problems in WvW. The least useless thing (new orbs) wasn’t explained and we barely saw some new locations on the map (still only 2 – EB an BLs). Told ya:

It seems like a fair amount of people play WvW from what I see. I don’t understand their lack of interest in doing anything meaningful for WvW.

Numbers and revenue. ATM, many more people play PvE then WvW (excluding the LS farm currently). And as for revenue, this mostly comes from PvErs (mostly due to not many things in the gem store that WvWders are interested in)…sadly.
(I have no numbers, so mere speculation atm, but to me it seems accurate. BTW, I would love more attention to WvW, as I see it as at least 50% of endgame, if not more)

I don’t deny there are more pve users but there are two things to note about that:
1) Some of those PvEers might have gotten bored by the lack of WvW updates so just don’t bother with it anymore.
2) If Anet accurately reflected the number of WvWers versus PvEers in their development time (say if 1/5 of people regularly WvW versus PvE you put 1/5 of your development time into WvW) it would still be a lot more time on WvW then they are currently doing.
