Please remove living story out of WvW Anet, till then I won’t be buying my usual $50 a fortnight on gems.

You said in your own words nothing in WvW would change during leagues…. Well you changed it.

Also, I played some sPvP and tPvP…. How come those arenas dont have the living story on the cap points?
Seems a little unfair that you add Living story to the merc cap points and not to the sPvP arena cap points, or do you think that might annoy them too?

I mostly play for the new Free-For-All arena in PvP lobby.

I’m sure that many would at lease appreciate some explanation of why they think introducing Living Story to WvW will some how improve it. Isn’t that the least that they could do for their customers? I just spent 10 min fighting “something” for “some reason” in the EB Hylek camp. I have absolutely no understanding of what possible relevance that has to WvW. It would take a Developer about 10 minutes to type a reply to this.

Enemy NPC should at least only be there when event is running. Hate if there are enemy npcs killing the merc camp(I think if you failed the event they stay and do this?)

Also at some events I noticed(near mendon! – don’t know in other corners) some things killing Dolyaks where you need to pay extra attention.

Why do the toxic sea snakes and the toxic vegetables want to bother the WvW worlds when there is enough dispute and war going on there in the first place?

They don’t have a home server, they don’t have a zerg or a commander who has tagged up to lead them to take towers. They don’t build siege and all they seem to want is to take up place in EB to force players to be in queue while the toxic alliance plant their toxic waste of a flower that we can just plow away and sell in Trading Post.

Just remove them or banish them to a home border in PvE, where they can harass other players and npcs with their toxic flower building and what not.

(Was not serious, but I hate seeing them in WvW, disrupting things and I would love to see them banished to PvE where they belong.)

I’ll chime in too. The LS stuff in WvW is straight up annoying as heck. It affects the security of supply lines, and slows everything down when trying to either cap, neutralize, or simply pass through a merc camp. We have our own territory to defend, and enemy locations to take. We do not have time for this.

If we want LS we would play PvE.

YES..PLEASE in the name of Dywana, PLEASE remove the LS npcs. You promised no changes and it frankly interferes with the Season 1 accomplishments. You have us flipping merc camps as an achievement, making that one harder and having a rippling affect through the other aspects.

Trying to deal with two other servers wanting our stuff, while we are trying to take their suff is frustrating enough without this mess in there too.

Thank you for bringing this up before I could and thank you for understanding that a valued customer’s voice is the best way to change bad practice.

The Living Story Toxic enemies has no place in WvW, they are too random and cause too much disruption. Too many people are trying to figure out what is even the reason for it. The Living Story events are even very easy to accomplish with just a train in Kessex and doing some of the Dailies, so there is no need to clutter WvW. If a queue is long, then that usually is the perfect time to run around Kessex considering the latest Season has now made queues massive.

Along with disrupting supply and slowing down people in general, and getting in the way of merc camps…

The stupid mobs are causing swords to pop on keeps. At least on garrison. I was watching it for hours tonight and 2 different times the mobs popped at the NE corner of garrison. When you got near the walls you got the prompt for the event.

We had to have a group take them out so it would stop looking like garrison was getting hit. This is just stupid.

Please get your priorities straight Anet.
Stat increase = gear grind.

Don’t be silly. It attracts PvE players into WvW and gives them something to do instead of getting involved in all that nasty fighting.

P.S Just came across a bunch of toxic whatevers actually capping a sentry post. Pity we killed them actually – should’ve waited to see which side they were on.

Anet said they wouldn’t change WvW during the League .. so what is it doing there?
Were trying to deal with and train the massive influx of PvE players for the awards an now these toxic NPC are appearing next to Garri so Scouts are distracted by this … complete waste of time.
We want better maps, we need the que fixing and we need you to stop putting PvE content on our map.

The Dolyak veteran guards can’t even kill the living story mobs.

But I noticed if Anet did intend on spicing up WvW a bit more, then why favor the blue side in EB??? Hylek camp, people can set up siege in QL and kill that LS thing in the middle with ease while green has to try and do it out in the open while getting farmed by people on siege in QL lol

I mostly play for the new Free-For-All arena in PvP lobby.

I’m kind of split on this issue. First off you already have supply Dolyak routes can get attacked by npc mobs, most noticeably in Eternal battlegrounds, and unguarded or without the veteran guard escort camp upgrade those yaks will die. If the supply yak died to the Toxic alliance force of 2 to 3 on the supply route, then that yak deserved to die because you provided no escort for it, or even kept track of it. You can’t expect your supplies to magically arrive are your towers/keeps for free, you have to put some effort into it.
Now it can be rather fun to go into a mercenary camp to capture or destroy it and having to deal with the Toxic Offshoot also, specially since they fight each other.

I am totally baffled at the ‘logic’ behind putting LS Events and Mobs into WvW at this time – particularly given the current state of performance, skill lag etc.

These ‘events’ are eating up server resources and capacity that would be better used to support WvW ‘human’ gameplay.

At the very least, make the LS Mobs queue like the rest of us!

I don’t even know how this works story or lore wise. Isn’t that EB some totally different thing they just made up so we could fight WvW? How would they even get there? There are only portals in LA and they probably could not sneak past there into EB.

I’d like to know why the WvW team did not object to this content being in there. I honestly can’t see any rationale for it.

If it’s going to stay, I have some questions about mechanics that we need to know, especially during night when our teams are smaller and these mobs have a greater effect.

- I’ve seen toxic mobs attacking supply yaks. Are these additional to the standard mobs (bats etc) that usually attack? Are they capable of killing yaks without our intervention?

- Do the toxic spore events interfere with the mercenary attacks on nearby camps? Or are those mercenaries a separate, unaffected spawn?

More than a minor annoyance. Gaa got into a full on zerg fight in the middle of hostile Ogres and a bunch of those toxic things today, it really sucked. Way too many particle effects.

We do guard our supply lines… But we shouldn’t need a flipping Task force to do so. It’s simply a yak escort/spotters job. it should not take 3-5 players per yak. Right now the Silver mobs take Far longer to kill and do Far more damage than the regular mobs and sometimes even the players who attack yaks. They hit hard and have high condition damage. Yaks don’t dodge bro. The hired guards die to the toxic offcrap…. I’m not saying players don’t need to do their part and maintain supply lines. I’m saying it’s needless and Extremely annoying to have Additional NPC’s Randomly and consistently spawn that kill yaks and sentries. This also attracks the attention of the zerrg sometimes needlessly.. If I don’t have or cant get dedicated spotters… I react to what’s happening on my map. When I see a sentry flip.. or die… I take my crew with me to investigate our third. It’s Ridiculous… Our attention is needed elsewhere.. We need to have this ridiculous living world BS in EBG? Fine.. STick it in the corner of the map please where it doesn’t interact with regular business…. The Majority Doesn’t want it at all. yes That’s factual, proven, Period. The WvW population in General… Hates the living world stuff being in WvW. We Don’t like it… You make your money through Us… Keeping us happy should be the focus. Don’t force us to suffer through a poorly thought Idea for the sake of already having implemented it. Just get it out please…..

Silver mobs at Dolyak routes? Must be rare then. Did not see any of them. I don’t even think there were veterans. Still a few annoying normal mobs that are stronger than the usual small 2 npc mobs.

I think they could even trouble the Dolyak if there were guards hired. And without guards you need to stay… at the other small npcs you could run there a bit late.

Event can be solod easier(will take less time due to buggy upscaling making it impossible with zerg). I think then the Toxic guys won’t spawn to attack Dolyaks(only if event is progressing or failed).

You don’t need 3-5 man. Still it is annoying if you are on a server and nobody else is paying attention to Dolyaks. Then more work for you.

They implemented it for bronze league low pop servers to give the four people in wvw something to kill before getting drowned in red.

I’m trying to get people to do mercenary camps.

No one wants to be anywhere near the Hylek one as it’s completely overrun with elite toxic alliance. The ofshoot should have been more to the south.
For the dredge one there’s a couple of tunnels in which the event can be played a little, but it makes things too slow. The ofshoot should have been more to the west.
People don’t mind as much the ogre one, as you can skip the toxic guys and go up break some nests. The ofshoot could have been more to the east, tho.

Scarlet’s minions are too annoying. With all that agony, poison and confusion and stuns and elite enemies, no one wants to risk fighting them as it’s more likely to have less health and unused skills to get away if an enemy zerg would appear, and they reappear too soon once defeated, making anything overrun by them kind of a pointless waste of time.

SUGGEST-A-TRON says:
PAY—ONCE—UNLOCKS—ARE—ALWAYS—BETTER.
No exceptions!

I like that the ones standing in the roads provide some variety and keep WvW tied in with the living story.

I hate the ones that have taken over the mercenary camps though. The mercenary camps were already frustrating enough without other NPCs killing everything that could have possibly progressed the events.

I 2nd this motion, it would keep pure pve players that have no interest in wvw out of it. freeing up valuable wvw slots for people that actually want to play wvw and help their server by playing the objectives instead of achievement hunting !

Tired of seeing this situation, a commander asks on TS please skip the sentry/toxic alliance do not give away our position, half the group goes for the stupid pve mobs and ruins the surprise attack, results in a wipe due to moronic pve players.

I’m not saying wvw players don’t do achievements from time to time, but there is a time and place for this sort of thing, wvw players know when to prioritize the fight / objective over a mere achievement.
That’s the main difference between a pve player and a wvw player.

Agree as well. The offshoots in the Borderlands are not too much of an issue, with them being in the northern skritt/centaur area, but EB is beyond horrible with them being in merc camps. Let alone the fact that they can and easily do kill supply yaks just makes no sense. I have no issues with adding stupid nodes like candy corn or other things, but when you have full events that are effecting the actual WvW gameplay, something is wrong.

Everyone I know hates the Living Story content in WvW. Some commanders on my server wanted to know what the ANet guy smoked, when coming up with the stupid idea of putting PvE content in WvW…annoying.

Please Anet, NEVER EVER put PvE content in WvW. Thank you(and remove this toxcity crap as fast as possible please). Also, please stop lying towards us, saying “We wont change anything in WvW during leagues”…you did. And it failed.

I mainly play PvE content, but now that the league’s on our guild’s been doing interdiction strikes in WvW.

And as someone who does like the Living Story stuff in general…

I think it’s a remarkably stupid idea to dump it into critical WvW points on the map, esp. the merc camps.

Please remove it on Tuesday, and turn the person who gave the idea to put it there in the first place into a Friendly Rabbit, or a Kitten.

Also, do keep your promises next time.
