NA prime time is too zergy for PPT to matter I say we lock down servers for NA and EU and let us Aussies play the game without the rest of the world telling us we are not aloud to cap things while they sleep.

I mostly play for the new Free-For-All arena in PvP lobby.
….. And Elementalist.

As many other people said in countless of treads like this:

Your nights, are someone elses daytimes, stuff it and get over it.

Should lock PPT or even the whole border when there are to less enemies in the zone.
If one of the servers has less then 10 people in a border, they should lock it on next point thick.
Of course all people in queues of other borders or EB and all players of that server playing in edge of the mist, count as being in all the zones.
So if there are 0 players in the blue border, EB has a queue of 4 and green border has a queue of 2 and there are 5 players playing in EotM then the zone will open up/or not get locked.

Change2 should be:
If in a border green has 40 people, blue has 20 and red has 20 then all objectives of green are ticking for 30% less and all objectives for blue and red are ticking for 30% more.
If the green border has 60, blue and red has 20 then objectives of green ticking for 40% less and blue + red objectives for an extra 40%
etc..

Doesn’t matter what time zone game PPT would be more equal. Stacking on one server is less important. Very low stack server don’t need 4 borders to fight anyway. And even the very high stacked servers loose the advantage of very large groups playing at off hours (doesn’t matter what time zone)

Everyone spreads out more. Even players at off hours(Aussies) will make sure the enemy servers has about the same numbers during their game play.

Your second example sounds like an even fight and leaves me wondering why you even consider that a real option. If one side has 40 vs the 2 20’s from the other servers they can split to fight both sides, even fights. It can’t be based solely on number and who owns what.

This also destroys the ideas behind small teams and tower ninjas so you are actually encouraging more zerging.

I said it in another post but.. Why not make the point system based on kills? If your on a server with 100 ppl in your play time and your opponents have 5 than you can’t dominate the ppt during that time… Maybe just put one ppt mechanism in each map and make the rest based of kills. Have camps deteriorate when someone isn’t actively capping them and when a camp is lost u lose the ability to upgrade… I know I’m just day dreaming but the current system is far from competitive so it would need a total rework from anet. There is no fixing the current system- it’s broken (as far as competition is considered) the only thing u can do now is log in and hope that you find something fun to do- just don’t expect your efforts to be lasting…

I understand you are being sarcastic/trolling but you kinda sound mad…..For every 1-2 people that say dumb things like “lock PPT during NA night” (which is what I am sure you are referring to) there are 100 people giving meaningful solutions/ideas for improving the situation in those same threads.

TL/DR: Stop getting mad about one noobs posts, and realize that there are options that can improve the landscape of WvW and actually make the score matter.

PPT shouldn’t be locked at night, but people should be forced to play on servers closest to their time zone..

For example: Nobody in the EU region should be playing on the NA servers and vice versa. If they implemented some sort of system that forced people to play to the closest servers, the issues should work themselves out. Que’s would probably be greater during prime time yes, but that’s just the nature of the beast. No need to close off PPT at night.

I would be in favor of seeing a system where servers that have the outnumbered buff:

A) Don’t have to deal with the RI buff on tower keepers
B) Increase the RI buff on tower keeps to say 10-15 min on the “outnumbering” server
C) Gain war score for all types of kills (siege included)
D) This may be a bit extreme but don’t allow the “outnumbering” server to either deploy or use siege

I like the idea of removing ppt ( may cost us a few hundred/unknown number of PPT players) and replacing it with points per kill, WITH ONE ADDITION.

The points per kill would be divided by the number of people in wvw on the side of the “killer”. Surely anyone asking for fairness would not seek full kill points when they outnumber their opponents…

So let’s eliminate people who travel from one country to the other (even if we can’t be neglected). Let’s also forget aussies/NZ and basically every player from Asia/Oceania.

What’s your plan for people working night shifts/dead hours and who get to play when most players are asleep ? Or when the rest of the players are working during the day ?

Dynamic scoring system based on the current population of the three servers on every BL and EB? Bit vague of a concept, but yeah..

Gameplay will stay the same. It’ll just be less rewarding, PPT-wise, for those with a greater population at that instant.

They should just make it so you get points for capping a structure / camp rather than holding it.

Locking PPT at off-hours is a ridiculous idea because it’s arrogant to think that only your timezone matters. I feel like an overhaul on how the PPT system works is the way to go.
