Looking for a new server
Go up the tiers, not down is what I recommend

Anything below t4 is pretty much going to be dead
Active zergs are a good thing for roamers IMO. When there are no zergs or a lopsided match, players often just don’t play. Dodging a zerg is pretty easy, avoiding havoc squads is an entirely different affair.

I just transferred from a low end server to a T1 server. I would not recommend looking at the lower end servers, as you’ll have problems even finding people in wvw a lot of the time on the low end servers, let alone roamers.
Maybe try the t3 servers?
Mmo players with a screw loose vs mmo players with two screws loose. All very important stuff.

I’m going to have to disagree with everyone here. I was running into the same problem as you in tier 3/4/5. I couldn’t find fights anywhere, people just ran from fights and called in 10-20 people to try and chase me down.
A lot of players on certain servers (*cough Crystal Desert *cough) wouldn’t even fight back if you caught them, they would literally die without hitting you once.
I have an account on Anvil Rock and I can find roaming fights any time I log on. What’s really nice is a big chunk of the T7-T8 population have realized it’s stupid to worry about PPT when server pop’s and coverage is so broken, so you end up finding plenty of people just roaming looking for fights.
If you can’t find a fight all you have to do is flip a camp and wait there a few minutes. If too many show up to make it a fair fight just pop a tonic or whisper them, most people are willing to duel (there are the occasional kittens that will still run u down after you tonic but most are cool).
If you haven’t moved yet give AR a shot, it has a really great community and I think you would find more of what you are looking for from WvW down here.

Kaineng is the place for you, believe me. We have NO numbers. Last time we had a zergvwas in August. Our roaning truly is top notch, every one is skilled, especially my guild. I would happily invite you. We are always looking to expand to have more roamer a, and our community is very close knit. We don’t win often, but when we are active, we tend to dominate most of the maps. Hope you truly consider Kaineng!
Best Wishes, Oscuro of Kaineng
Guys, he’s on an EU server… Your NA experiences are completely irrelevant to his question.

I know many EU players that play on NA servers… Being on BG, you should know that EU players can play on NA servers if they are willing to.

You didn’t fight me buddy. I chased a zerg off a SMC wall just last night, all by myself, uphill, both ways and in the snow.

If you’re looking for small havoc/roaming type of play you can join higher tier servers, however you may want to join a smaller WvW oriented guild.
Larger guilds tend to run in larger groups during their raids, while smaller guilds tend to run havoc or 5-10man cap an entire borderland map, while larger guilds keep the enemies larger forces busy fighting.
