So, I got the ultimate surprise from the chests you get for gaining a WvW Level:

An Ascended Weapon Chest.

I got it for reaching level 16 on an 80th level character. I would not have guessed those were part of that loot table.

Probably never happen to me again, but maybe some of you will get lucky that way too!

Yeah, already got two from rank-up chests – unfortunately both times stat combinations I don’t really need But I shouldn’t complain I guess….

I’m happy to get rare versus greenies…..

I got one from a rank up too, pretty nice weapon for a necro.
Just last friday I got one ascended chest from a simple champ farm :/

Huh… So at least two of you knew. Maybe they’re more common than I thought…

I know they can drop, I’ve just never had a single unique drop like this, whether from rank chest, world boss chest, fractals, random drop, whatever…

Anet – please change my RNG modifier – the current one sucks :/

I got 2 during the league, 1 from rank up chest and 1 from a lord bag. Both still sits in my bank though, can`t make up my mind what chars should get them. :p

I’ve had two ascended rings drop. Sadly, I can’t recall if they were from players or from the WvW rank chests (I’m 90% sure it’s the latter though).

One of them had set stats (Carrion iirc) and the other allowed me to chose my own stats.

edit: and like Varu’s, both of mine still sit in my bank.

I’m hoping they add ascended armor to the loot tables today. I have a stockpile of liquid wxp, free wxp boosters, and champ bags just waiting for the day that ascended armor is added.

Had 100’s of rank chests and only had rares and greens. Seem to get 1 rare for every 20 greens, so 5% chance of rare?

Good to know it is a possibility…however remote…probably have all 8 characters with Legendarys though before my 1st ascended drop.

rank 620+ and got 2 ascended trinkets so far

Never had anything more than a rare from rank up chests. Around 400 if I total up all characters (also not including any bonus chests rewarded)

I saw an ex-guildy getting an ascended box and it dropped a hammer. Apparently he was so happy with it that he transmuted his Mjolnir over it.

Had a nice ascended ring from rank chests and know a couple of people getting a weapon chest aswell so they do exist!

I had an ascended ring drop (in stats I don’t use but may be useful sometime, so it’s in my bank) probably 2 or 3 exotics and I get a rare every 15 levels or so. I’m only rank 240.

Never saw one before…what do they look like?

I got an ascended ring once, and it was actually one with useful stats. Nothing but blues and greens ever since.

165 ranks since seasons started for me. 1 Rabid Ascended ring, nothing else of notable value. I think the MF stole all my luck…

I got an ascended chest from a fight in WvW but it was a stat I don’t use ever. Regardless, it was the best thing I have had drop ever until this week where I had a precursor drop. Never expected that to happen. Guess I have used up all my luck now

On the bright side, I wasn’t disappointed by the season 1 reward, since the usual rewards were already so poor
