Please I beg you arenanet. People out there trying to be serious about WvW, and cap/defend points. Yet you have half the population eating up the queue doing grub and jump puzzle. This really needs to go, WvW should not have so many people in it trying to PVE.

Dont be serious about WvWvW its supposed to be fun, and people can play it how they like, no reason why “your” playstyle or objectives should be enforced.

It would seem that the developers disagree with you. The W3 maps are a blend of PvE and PvP.

The jump puzzles have an element of pvp in it though. The grub is just a pure pve distraction. Same with the spirit tree.

It’s a game, you’re being way too serious about a game. I love doing both those events while doing WvW. WvW is meant to be light-hearted competition, not more stupid “e-sports” nonsense. People and guilds spending tons of cash and stupid amounts of time worrying about this don’t seem to understand that.

Get rid of all the PvE events, mobs, farming, jumping puzzles, etc… This will definitely fix the botting problem in WvWvW.

If it wasn’t for wanting to kill the grub I would have never really wanted to play with a team to take the entire map to kill the grub. So run and tell that. The team on the otherhand non existent and only wants to listen to a single person on the entire server then fail when he goes to bed (meaning failing was the plan).

I must’ve missed the sign that said it was a fire sale.

The intent of the gathering, monsters, vistas and puzzle within WvW is to attact players into PvP who normally don’t like PvP or wouldn’t think about giving it a try otherwise. They may decide to contribute to WvW PvP after experiencing a little of it.

I like the grub, I think it should have better loot and be in random locations so that we can fight over him. Jumping puzzles provide, often, an environment for small scale PvP, tough if you dont like it. I do my part, sometimes I like the change of pace.

You guys are going the wrong way with this I would like to see PVE events as the main means to gain the bonuses in wvw. Right now on ET we have like 25% health buff if not more with the orbs and a 10% healing buff. If it were dictated by pve content only it would be much lower and make anyone doing said content a tribute to the war effort.

Another thing that could be done is add a one hour buff for killing the worm that allows you to hold 25 supply for an hour or what ever the spawn time for it is. It would make it a race to whos force could down it first.

Even as is it should not be taken out thats silly grow up its not your wvwvw map if somone wants tokitten around in wvw thats there choice

Make the Jumping Puzzle it’s own map, don’t make the people camping or trying to complete it take up the same slots as people fighting in EB.

Grub should have a more meaningful PvP benefit to killing it.

As much as I’d love to see events and jumping puzzles as a serious part of WvW, they currently are just misplaced PvE content.

If you include them to WvW, make them have relevance to the ongoing match, and don’t let them have benefits beside that (POIs, skill points, harvesting nodes, etc). Otherwise, they only attract tourists or completionists or people who want to grind level 80 stuff, who just waste scarce WvW slots.

the jump puzzles give free blueprints and badges. Don’t knock the jump puzzle, I did it last night, got a free treb, and that free treb got us durios.

An alternative would be placing an underground area underneath stonemist that is a jumping puzzle with the grub at the end. Also you could make it so that when the grub in there dies, 3 portals open up around it leading to various places between the inner and outer wall of stonemist.

I’m not particularly saying that is what should happen, just spitting out ideas where doing some pve objectives like that would lead to pvp benefits.

The PvE content has to stay in WvW or else players on a dominant server will have nothing to do once all the points are capped, i.e. they get punished gameplay-wise for winning.

Anet has already admitted they have a huge problem with wvw ques. Adding pve into WvW was a nice try but a fail. WvW is alreay too user friendly and way too forgiving imo. We can’t even see peoples names for kitten sake

Not chess, Jump Puzzles. Surf, Jump and Minigame servers are really popular in Counter Strike. I bought CS:GO just to be able to play them with HD graphics. Speaking of Counter Strike.. I just might go play some pirate wars or ski mountain right now…

imo this would be a great if there were no caps, but it is a bit annoying to have tons of people not actually helping fight the good fight and no way to get more recruits
