Can you please tell us what is planned for the new major WvW overhaul?

Please go into the detailed design so we can give you our feedback now while you’re still developing it and have time to change any design we don’t think will work.

I think we’ve learnt from the borderland drama that developing a concept to maturity and then asking for feedback during beta testing didn’t work. Everyone gave feedback that the maps were too big during beta week one but it was too late by that stage.

I think this time around the team should adopt a ‘communicate early, communicate often’ approach.

In the great words of Ken M, if we don’t study the mistakes of the future we’re doomed to repeat them for the first time.

They’ve been working on it a year. I highly doubt, whatever it is, can be turned around/changed at this late point.

Problem is its not early in the process from the sound of it. As noted by others the changes that came with HOT are undoubtedly all part of the overhaul referred to by Colin and its being implemented in something of a piecemeal fashion which may have been a mistake.

they’ve been working on for over a year when the ex-WvW lead dev hasnt done anything since March? Something doesnt add up… I am not buying what Colin is selling. He’s just trying to divert attention away from people questioning Anet on WvW from all the Devon Carver threads.

Yes we want details, seeing as Devon said he’s not worked on WvW in 8 months. Yes others could have been set that task, but then how could Devon supervise the WvW development?!

But of course if we even get an answer it’ll be the usual We cannot talk about it.
