It would be great. Sometimes you get downed because of lag and stuff like that and this would slightly increase the chance to keep your stacks which sometimes arent easy to gather.

Stacking sigils are not easy to use – try switching to something that’s more suitable.

I remember reading something about these being looked at because the develpers didn’t like how they were working.

They will probably get changed to loosing any stacks you have when you swap out to a weapon set that does not have the sigil that created those stacks.

I would not hold your breath to get changed to what you desire.

^They had better not do that until they give eles and engineers weapon swap. Losing stacks upon switching weapons would be totally unfair to those 2 classes since they cant swap weapons to adapt to different situations. While everyone else would get to keep their stacks and swap to whatever other weapon they have equipped. So they either need to give all classes weapon swap, or make stacks not just disappear on removing the weapon, but also on swapping it to make it completely fair.
