Yup, I’d hope some point system on attack or defend and something on player kill.

The system favor big population servers with different time zone population. Yet it won’t give much to skillfull group smashing through zerg group.

The problem with giving some sort of scoring bonus to lower populations is that some groups could harass people of their own world to stay away from WvW so they can enter in smaller groups and rack more points.

PAY—ONCE—UNLOCKS—ARE—ALWAYS—BETTER.
No exceptions!

The problem with giving some sort of scoring bonus to lower populations is that some groups could harass people of their own world to stay away from WvW so they can enter in smaller groups and rack more points.

Who told about giving scoring bonus to lower population? I said there should be some points giving toward killing player, so small groups that can smash through zerg but can’t capture keep still earn reward for their server. If high population are good and can kill the small skill blob, then they would get reward as well.

Yea should be more rewards for skillful play, instead rewarding based on population. Fighting in wvw should be more rewarding than hold points in wvw. Guild group already run in wvw so it is not about isolating the casual wvwer. More about giving more credit to guilds or players that are normally outnumbered and winning fights. Not borderland map bonus but more of a instant ppt fight bonus.

Yes.

Players can be killed without stomping. They’re asking for points from straight up murder.

The problem with bloodlust it is like any other objective. The server with more player will have it more often than the outmanned server. Making it buff the winning server more than help the outmanned one.

I’m very much for this idea. It’d take a bit of the power out of simply controlling objectives and put it on winning fights. You’d still get your PPT points, still get your stomp points, but now another element of simply killing people.

Their have been a lot of ideas on how to improve the ppt system. The problem is how do you know A-net is read these idea and if they are will they implement them or ignore them. Can only hope that after months of similar idea getting posted on forums something will be in the works. A-net it is hush hush about any future projects.

A small group that can smash through a zerg can capture a keep. My world has captured countless locations while heavily outnumbered with organized commanders, guild raids and even pug zergs.

Unfortunately, I’m afraid that Anet DOES read these forums, AND implements suggestions here straight into the game!

Where do you think the “WvW Tournaments” came from? That idea was laid out in a lengthy post on the forums back in late-2012, and the first “Season” of WvW Tournament was practically copy & pasted straight from that forum post! So be careful what you suggest here… lol

just have two different competitions within the current system.

There could be “traditional ppt scoring” and then something else based off of ANYTHING else.
