I do not find a topic that was placed here the last days,
so I want to bring it up again.

The ranking system is realy bad when you play week after week against the same server! Its no way to move easy from one bracket to the other.
It takes ages to change the bracket and it does not matter if you win or lose week after week!
This is less fun for everyone !

So please fix or change it.

The brackets are there for a reason, in most cases moving up/down a bracket means you are going to either get stomped or do the stomping, how is that an improvement of what we have now?

So, which T1 server do you think needs to be kicked out of T1 right now?

Remember, changes not well thought out may wind up kicking servers out of places they fought their collective buttocks off to get to.

1) Is Tarnished Coast now better than Blackgate?
2) Is Dragonbrand now better than Kaineng?
3) Is Sea of Sorrows now better than Yak’s Bend?
4) Is Ehmry Bay better than Crystal Dessert?
5) Is Darkheaven better than Borlis Pass?
6) Is Sorrows Furnance now better than Isle of Janthir?

We will never find out. And it doesn’t matter, the match-making based on the rating is an abuse of Glicko-2, that – over the month that it is now used – leaded to impassble bracket boarders.

There is no longer 2 ladders (EU/NA) there is now 17 ladders. The rating is only influenced by performance with respect to each tier. Whereas membership in a tier gives you an base rating, high enough to avoid a drop down, independently how bad you are now.

I really hope so. This week really shows it is getting stale. Only 20 and 21 swapped places.

If they can’t do anything with the math, just have some manual intervention. I would love to have a match up with SBI and any two from T5.

Or SBI, CD and one of them with similar coverage.

Would it be a blowout? Who knows? I actually don’t think so. But it would be fun to find out. Not like most of the tiers are not blowouts anyway.

So T8 is being dominated by the server that moved down, this was fortold by nearly everyone. This is perfect evidence of what happens when a server from a higher tier moves down. It does not change anything.

Exactly, the closest tiers will be some what equal. Now if you were to say T3 to T6 or something along those lines id have to say T3 would have an easier time ( not counting out T6 of course, just an example, like T4 to T8).

I would say GoM isnt dominating, The first week ET actually won T8 and was very close, this week has been strange compared to last week though. I expected SF to be top in tier 7 just because of all the transfers they got, they were hardly a T8 server after that.

Lol, GoM is dominating T8. SF is doing well but T8 was a special situation, I don’t think anyone disputed the fact the SF would be competitive in T7.

I’m sorry but you are incorrect.

GoM is not dominating T8. They are indeed winning by a good margin right now. T8 has been very competitive and GoM actually placed second their first week in T8. This matchup is actually quite good right now. And I don’t think I have ever seen even one GoM state they are dominating.

And SF is more than competitive in T7. I would be quicker to claim they are dominating T7 before I would make that claim about GoM. SF has been putting up some impressive numbers the last two weeks and will probably move up to T6 in one to two weeks.

50k pt lead is domination.

Your logic is flawed.

Nearly every NA tier, except for T5, has close to a 50K point lead difference.

Besides, everyone knows a 50K point lead at the end of the week doesn’t show the whole picture of the matchup.

lol, ok – im not going to argue with you im not in T8, but 50k to me is domination. Just curious, what score in your book constitutes domination? Most servers could not come back from a 20k point lead.

But GoM is only winning, at least by this margin, because of their night crew. It is truly the only reason. During the day GoM is staying right on par in PPT with the rest of T8. Last week GoM lost to ET. Was that predicted too?

Underworld (My Realm) have been playing Drakkar Lake, and Miller Sound this week, and last week too… BOTH of which are GERMAN, and both teams tend to use this fact to play together and band together against Underworld.
I feel this is WRONG, entirely and needs to be fixed somehow.

I would suggest to look for a way in future to find possible Alliance based WvW – with entirely different maps.

Another thing I will gripe about,. is the fact that, we normally have a hard fight all week, but come friday… it’s as if both teams give up, but yet we STILL have to face them the following week, rinse and repeat… To me, this is boring, and also wrong!

Something needs to be done.
