I think Anet let slip a little bug that may say mega-server is coming to WvW. While playing on Desert BL and seeing one of my guild mates on the guild list was also on the same BL, I opened the map to look for his yellow dot. It was difficult to see, like 50% transparent, and when I moused over it, the tool tip read, “This player is in a different instance of this map.”

Uhhhh…. isn’t there only one instance of each Desert BL? For now, yes… but what is the tool tip giving away?

I’ve encountered this in EB, too. Once we were close enough to see each other’s character it corrected itself.

As we saw in a hilarious reset bug once, all the worlds are already connected. Ie if you are on Desolation, you can theoretically join Vabbi EB etc and thus end up in another instance than your own. Its been like this for years, its just not exposed.

Sooooo, the lag beast has been identified?
