Isle of Janthir is in second place during their first day of T3. This is interesting, because they were previously T2. They moved down and are still in second.

What other observations have you made that are interesting?

I’ve posted about one problem that shows up due to bad design in their rating system over and over, but Habib or anyone else never seem to comment on it:

Their current score calculation system causes heavy convergence in points inside of a bracket when matchups are close. This means that servers get locked in with each other even throughout heavy amounts of population change through transfers. It takes a fairly heavy population shift to get enough of a score differential to have a team bust through a tier, and at that point, the lack of between-bracket movement causes scores to only be accurate inside of brackets, not between brackets.

If you want a prime example, look at Devona’s Rest. There was a fairly large exodus from Ferguson’s Crossing and Kaineng, but before that these two were strong enough to keep DR in place. Because DR couldn’t make a complete blowout, they stood in T8 when they were actually a mid-T6 server.

It’s Friday. It’s also Christmas week. Don’t read into it too much.

Ioj has also lost many of its oceanic players in the last week. It’s a lot weaker than it was 3 weeks ago.

IOJ lost HIRE, but many of hire stayed behind and formed into another guild.

I’d roughly estimate we lost 10 percent of our oceanic presence.

Not possible. If the loss of players was really that minor why are we sitting at 70 ppt atm? Compared to a couple weeks ago, where we’d easily be pushing close to 400 at this point.
