there is nothing actionable here.

there are some guys shooting invincible people with siege equipment and hoping people get angry due to personal issues and spread their openly recruiting guild’s video all over the internet just as you are doing. what bit of this isn’t just petty and unimportant?

wow. Clearly not an exploiting guild. Clearly.

I disagree Five, I doubt its working as intended and there for banable and no one has to help ruin spread the word they do that all by themselves. There is nothing wrong with asking a Dev what he thinks Petty is sharing an opinion with your nose in the air but thats not important

Funny how when we claim its a bannable offense the community cries we are a bunch of morons. So when we figure out how to do it its all of a sudden a bannable offense by the community.

Ruin figured out how to get up to where SoS had their “exploiting” trebs up. Used the mesmer to teleport everybody up there, and proceeded to treb the spawn area.

While i’m sure there may be ways to get your mesmer portal up there legitimately, i’m not convinced. But really, either way they’ll get what’s coming to them. Whether that’s what other players would like or not, is up to Anet.

let me ask you, should a treb be placed in an area where it can never be attacked, so that it can constantly attack a towers gate and walls without ever being stopped?

No.. thats unfair, and we believed this… anet didn’t remove it when we pointed it out for days, so we assumed it must be “legitimate”, giving us the impression that we must be able to get to it… the bottom line is, if we are exploited anything, then so did they… so careful what you wish for. lets face it though, they have to remove the ability to put siege up there. why would only one area have this advantage of constant attack?

legitimate for SoS to be up there and to built trebs..

we say, hey, don’t do that, enemy players cant get to those because they are in your spawn

they say “yes they can, its legitimate, we can climb up there!”.

so we climb up there too.. build trebs, and now we are exploiting and they aren’t….

You aren’t even supposed to be able to build siege in spawn areas, however, trebs can bombard spawn areas from afar… so build a treb to crash that treb?

In any case placing siege inside spawns is not intended as far as I am aware, whether this is almost inaccessible cliff or whatever inside said spawn should not matter.

if the treb is set far enough back on the waterfall, it absolutely cannot be trebbed back. only way we could kill it was retaliation…. until anet removed that, so ya…

Everyone down there is invulnerable, as I’m sure Ruin realizes. The video is nothing but a bit of propaganda for an auto-invite “zerg guild”.

You take no damage in your spawn.

Their catapults were accomplishing nothing.

Actually they might have been killing vendors, which don’t have the “immune” flag. All players and Legendary Defender guards are 100% immune.

Ruin was spawn camping NPC vendors. That should be their new tagline. “Not killing enough NPCs? Join Ruin today!”

That said, I do think that the “no siege” buff should extend to more areas. Ruin just picked possibly the dumbest possible way to demonstrate this. A video of them destroying a tower from there would have been a lot more to-the-point and practical.

I’ll let you guys into a little secret on how they got up there…..

They swarmed into your spawn and b-lined for it until they got a mesmer up there who could teleport the rest, many bothans (and Ruin) died obtaining this information so remember their sacrifice.

I believe this video is more about just mocking the server for constantly stating that this was legitimate siege placement so they agreed, alright, your right, lets go up there ourselves if that’s the case.
