It seems like there is a significant lack of GUILD specific features in Guild Wars 2.

World vs. World or a scaled down version seems like it could be structured for Guild vs. Guild combat.

For example, guilds (or alliances) can design their own territory with x number of towers/supply camps/upgrades and make it their own. It could be done with some level of presets to make design feasible with the focus being on tower/keep layout. Then, they can challenge other guilds and the two territories become linked up. A timed challenge ensues where they siege each other for wagers, etc.

That or some variation thereof would really benefit the longevity of this game.

I had the same impressions, maybe something similar to what AoC tried to do with guild keeps and such, where there is also a “borderlands” where the guilds within the server can compete for the keeps similar to how it’s done in WvW, and certain keeps give bonuses for use in PVE and WvW to that guild.

However the obvious downside to this is it detracts from the server community I feel like ANet is more concerned with.

I do agree though, it’s more like Server Wars than Guild Wars.

Indeed. I understand what ANet is doing with the whole server community idea, but I never kept playing a game because I enjoyed the people on my server. It was always the smaller circles of people you play with that keeps you interested.

I think World vs. World is a good feature, but it does seem like the Guild vs. Guild element was neglected.
