I’m on Anvil Rock and although we are falling behind first place by 13,000 points we have held our 3 keeps in our border land with waypoints due to our teamspeak communication/strategy. We have held off wave after wave of attacks from both Devona’s rest and Gates of madness. Currently, we manage to paper bay, hills and garry in both Gom and DR’s borderland. Wouldn’t it be nice if we could base ppt on how fortified or how long we have held a fortified keep? Your thoughts?

My thoughts: The points towers give should increase with the time held.

I do not have thoughts on the upgrade level relating to points.

This would be a way to encourage defensive play.

This would make off hour coverage even more important. If DH and FC are fighting, and DH has a lot more oceanic coverage they can easily wrack up points. Their entire bl and side of EB will fortified after they can make FC paper. This would make it impossible for FC to take the lead. It would encourage defense during prime time, but off hours would decide the game even more than they do now.

That is true Ynot. What if your could only gain the extra ppt if your in second or third place? this would encourage servers with lower coverage to catch up during primetime?

And what about servers with heavy SEA presence?

Higher PPT AND capture/defense rewards for more upgraded objectives. Would do away with karma trains and bring back defense.

Of course it’s not going to fix lopsided coverage but nothing that would actually be implemented is going to fix that.

Im sure while anvil rock held 3 t3 keeps, your opponent held the same amount if not more, so it really wouldnt effect the match as much as you think.

In fact i could exasperate the problem, especially in some match ups (Like t1 match ups for instance) as it would encourage the superior force to trying to keep a BL on lock down so they can upgrade and waypoint everything.

At least at the present the superior force might let a 5 man havoc squad take a tower or keep, just so they can cap it back for the wxp.

and also ppt (higher ppt for lesser tier structure since they are harder to defend)…
