More meaningful objectives to fix zerging
Nothing beats zerging for rewards, which is one of the two major reasons why people zerg (the other is it’s the safest way to WvW). So we need things like this that make non-zerg activities more rewarding if there is to be any hope of breaking up the zerg meta in WvW.
Lots of people like to zerg because it’s zero pressure. If you get wiped, it’s not your fault — you’re just one of many. If you win, you have the loot bags to prove that you contributed!
I’d like to see bonus PPT for upgraded towers/keeps/castles, extra wxp for successfully defending them, and even extra wxp for capturing them. And I mean significant bonuses – x2 for T2 and x3/4 for T4.
It would also be nice to get a wxp reward when a keep/tower upgrades to T2/3, but determining who would qualify for this might be difficult – maybe the people who paid for the upgrades? What about folk who escorted yaks to make the upgrade happen. Difficult to know…

My guild used to siege, upgrade and protect hills + camps to the max (ask the aurora’s, far shivers and gunnars, hehe). However, since the ram mastery we just can’t be bothered with it anymore. Why? Gates go down so much faster, so if you’re even there in time (outer is quite often allready gone with that mastery), then you need a decent number (3+) of superior arrow carts to hit through the 50% (or more) damage negotiation and water blast healing.
So what are you saying with this not so well hidden QQ about the ram mastery? Well I think the idea of the OP is great, but I’m not willing to defend a camp because I can defend a camp. And if its so hard to defend an upgraded keep there is no need to.
(Please take note that not every server has 24/7 coverage with a zerg to wipe outside and that people manning an AC is all you have from time to time)
