Guild Wars 2

Hi All! So I am a fairly noob-ish player who started playing at the Guild Wars 2 launch and now getting back into it.

I am mainly interested in WvW over everything else in the game.

Currently I am on the Stormbluff Isle server. But WvW seems so dead. I hardly see any battles happening at all, and if there are, its only like 5-10 people max.

So what server is the most active WvW server? I am on the West Coast if that matters.

I would love to find a home where large battles and sieges are a pretty frequent thing.

Any help would be much appreciated!

I’m on SBI too and EB is the only map you’re going to find any appreciable volume of people.

Wait a sec…isn’t SBI in t3? …and there’s not enough people to fight?!

Have they given up on us WvW players?

Game mode is slowly dying, HoT was the final thrust. You’re already at what is considered a ‘fight tier’. Anet has been ignoring the cancerous issues in WvW and now its killing the game mode.

yep, the fact Anet left out the WvW enhancement for HOT release should be a clear sign that this game mode is something they dont care for. To add insult to injury, they released the terrible new BL maps. That’s a clear sign the developers dont “get it” when it comes to WvW.

T1 or T2 are pretty hoping during NA prime and can be somewhat dead outside of that time with the exception of some PvD. Unfortunately last time I checked those tiers are locked.

Maguuma is pretty active currently. We’ve had fun all weekend. SBI seems pretty active, too (well, until last night, LOL)

Bah, are you mad? Mag took everything you had yesterday, for hours. Try your borderlands, we’ve definitely been there :p

Thanks for the info. Doesn’t sound like WvW is much of a focus for the developers OR the players.

That’s kind of a let down. My main reason for getting in Guild Wars 2 was for WvW. I love the combat of the game, and looking for the large scale PvP setup. Warhammer Online has been one of the best large scale MMO PvP experiences I have ever had. I would love to find something that awesome again. I am not much into small scale arena type PvP.

If I want some good PvE action I might as well just play WoW again.
