Mesmer/Thief
NSP
I have an 80 thief, 80 mesmer, 80 d/d ele, and an 80 ranger.
Ranger is trash in comparisson, no survive at all, no teleports, reliable stealth, mass invul, nothin.
Mesmer is a bit different than saying ‘OP.’ It’s more that 90% of people don’t know how to fight you, and you roflstomp em, BUT when you run in to a player that knows how to fight one, the mesmer is a little weak in comparison to the others.
D/D Ele is very good, but lacks the insanely OP combat stealthing the mesmer has a little of, and the thief has a ton of. The survive is so good though, it still works well. d/d eles have a couple main combos they all use too, makes em a bit predictable to any good player.
Thief… lmao. Not even making this up, when I play my thief, it’s not even a game of winning or losing, or a matter of ‘if’ I can win. It’s purely a game of how many people I can kill before they finally catch me. I spend most my time when I’m on my thief, standing in the middle of 20+ zergs, by myself, killing people in the back or sides people rn’t paying attention to. Then stealth finisher… just lol. For anyone who says it’s not insanely broken level of overpowered, just slap yourself in the face.
Most challenging: Mesmer
Most Annoying: Thief
thief because hide too much and runs very fast
Thieves; never lose against one, but never beat one.
Thieves======>Mesmers==>everything else.
Thieves just feel cheap. The battle is never good win or lose. Mesmers in the hands of a good player with one of the mass clone builds is just as bad, luckly good mesmers are hard to find.
Every other class feels like there was a battle. Those 2 just feel like you were trolled. It comes mostly down the their ability to break the target lock. So many skill require a target lock to work properly and those 2 classes get a free pass to break a core game mechanic.
How is this even a question? No crap the answer is Thief. More so in WvW than anywhere else. A low input, high reward class that has the advantage of a bug in the game engine(If you ever think culling is going to be fixed to the point where thieves don’t gain a massive advantage from it, you’re insane, culling will never, ever, be truly fixed)
