Obviously they want to get rid of WVW in this game. The waiting time to enter is since this week absurd. Waiting a few minutes is ok, waiting all evening is unacceptable. I’m in Europe, its morning here and even at this hour of the day you have to wait to enter. In one hour i have moved up 15 places or so. Still 20 to go….

Enlarge the capacity of WVW, please!

Why don’t u go Eotm or Desert borders? Even OS didn’t have queue. I got info from all merged servers and only EB had queue of 100 while other borders of 10 or less

Yeah, increase the map capacity so that everything turns into a slideshow. Maybe you’d like to take another stab at thinking it through.

It’s pretty amazing that all the maps had such long queues on your server. We only had a consistent queue on EB, the borderlands were fairly fast to get into. Then again if you’re used to following the tag around brainlessly, spamming staff auto like a lobotomized monkey with Alzheimer’s, moving from EB to the borderlands may not be a smooth transition…

Oh yeah definitely, borderlands was a lot of fun with that many people. I actually preferred them to EB at reset and they were easy to get into.

Nothing wrong with BL maps now that there are enemies to fight.

Well the good: yesterday night we had the most awesome fights for quite long time, the desert BLs were full of people and action. EB had an insane queue, 2 out of 3 BLs were also having slight queues, and it was a continuous bloodbath with a constant flow of loot.

Bad part: 3 out of 4 maps queued is not ideal. Framerate and lag were also bad at times.

For FPS make ur settings as low as possible( basically everything at lowest :P) or just invest in better GPU/CPU/Ram memory.
As for lag… It wasn;t such bad like a year ago. I didn’t get a single DC and didn’t have to run WTFast so… It is pretty nice these days

Even now FPS will drop from decent 120 to like 30 at massive fights.
If they increase to 200 per server, we will perform at around 15 fps -.-

First get DX11/12 for this game and tons of optimisation before they make step like this.

No to mention connection laggs.

Which server are you on? IF the answer is Piken Square or SFR, I can imagine it easily, you have been band wagoning destination #1 and #2 for some time already.

Here on Desolation we had no queue to any map in the morning, even though Desolation has one of the strongest morning teams in EU and we just were paired with Vabbi. We had roughly 20 players on tag on EBG, not enough to make orange swords.

EotM isn’t WvW anymore than stronghold is. The DBl barely makes the cut since it does contribute to the score and they finally fixed the wp’s. It’s still a really kittenty map for WvW though and many people would probably prefer sitting in queue and watching TV or something rather than playing on that piece of crap.

I guess the OP wasn’t there when accidentally no (sensible) map cap was enforced on EoTM instances. It wasn’t just a slideshow because of client rendering performance the server quite literally could not cope with having so many people on the map and as such all serverside interactions on the map were literally broken.

For example, one could just walk of an fall down to the watery abyss below the map because the server could not handle teleporting the falling player back above the way point as it normally would.

As nice as increasing map caps for WvW or any map instance for that matter would be, I am pretty sure some non-trivial math has gone into determining what these caps are and increasing them willy nilly is a sure fire recipe for disaster.

1: We just had a big update for WvW.
2: Reset and World linking.
3: WvW is in Beta mode.
We’ve waited over 3 years for changes. Give it some friggin time. They have to have time to gather data and make sound changes.

That is their choice, but you can’t then say they can’t play WvW if they ignore three of the four maps tied to the game type and match up. As for EoTM, maybe it is not WvW by your standards, but its intended purpose was always to serve as an overflow map during queues and allow you to play in a map with WvW mechanics while you waited if you wanted to.
