Must stop single person contesting
If they were to require a threatening nature, I suggest making the contesting waypoints only happens if there are more than 5 players hitting anything, or if at least one siege is involved. For example, if there is a single catapult, arrow cart, treb, golem, etc. hitting the keep in anyway, it sets off the contested waypoint. However if none of that is hitting the keep, the contested waypoint won’t kick in unless there are 6 or more opposing opposition players on foot hitting a part of the keep. Prevents it from getting contested at all unless in specific circumstances.

It’s an easy fix, remove way points the ma kitten o small anyways there is no point to them.
Edit: ummm why is map, so, small being filtered?
It was 2 vs 20 but its ok we got’em both!
they should make the contested state base on % of dmg to gates, like at 25% or something.

I think some one posted in the other thread about this and said that contesting WP should be only done if inner was being attacked. I think this would be a welcome change but personally do find this to be a notable issue.

Orange Swords not White should cause WP contested state.
Or it should go contested when the structure being hit is like 95-98%. Single tap and run to knock out a waypoint for 3 mins is absurd.
I think that they should keep contesting waypoints the same since it’s already game-breaking enough to have waypoints in World vs. World. In fact, I probably would assume that you’re part of a server that has the other team backed up to their third of Eternal Battlegrounds -.-
To be honest, it’s probably better to just change the timer on contested Waypoints, instead of making it always contested as long as the “Defend the Keep” event is up. If a single person had to smack the Waypoint every 15 seconds, for instance, to keep it contested, it completely takes that person out of the game, and would become so mind-numbingly boring that that hardly anyone would be willing to do it. Likewise, if a group sieging a Keep sends EVERYONE to a camp for supply, or completely stops attacking the gate/walls for more than 15 seconds for any reason, in my opinion that should open the Waypoint up anyway.
15 seconds is just a suggestion off the top of my head, it could be 30 seconds or whatever actually works best for the game. But putting the Waypoints on a short, independant timer could make contesting Waypoints possible, but not worth the trouble of doing it non-stop, unless you WERE actually attacking the Keep.
Yes. They should also stop a single person preventing you from capping a circle. Totally. I strongly disagree with the original poster.
I thought the Asura have npcs that talk about setting up the gates and getting them tuned to work. I’m sure you can techno-magi-babble violence into distorting the workings. You don’t wanna pop in neck deep in a kitten pen coming out of a port, do you? Think of the poor kittens.
