My take on fixing nigthcamping in WvWvW.
wont happen.. EU is a big place as has a pretty large time zone diff
Nightcapping needs to go away simple as that.
refuse to play a game that wants me to force it to be a job.
WwW at the moment sucks.
they done many things right for this MMO but dude what where they thinking its suppose to be a game not a job.
Implement tools for easier tactics arrangements, voip and arrange for some tactical overlay all missing from a game out 2012 that suppose to be you know a game. communciation is rule one in any engagement. Missing that makes it a noob zerg hude behind no skill devlopment, tired of all those who cant play their classes and zero tactical ability.
again, Nightcapping needs to go away.
wont happen.. EU is a big place as has a pretty large time zone diff
its easy to implement time difference and zones for eu.
It has to happen and will happen.
And for people who work evening and weekend, which have holiday week?
Plannifier the GMT is not good at all. In France we are GMT +2 while in Russia to GMT-1… Where is the balance?
The real problem is authoriser The players other contiants to play on opposite continant

I’m working on 3 shifts.
6-14, 14-22, 22-6. I dislike your idea. WvW at night is less lively – but it affects all sides. If there’s a guild out there taking advantage of it – good for them – means they’re not queing for the pvp during peak hours and therefore taking your spot there. The idea of WvW to be a constant war zone. If your area is taken – retake it – easier said than done? Still… not impossible – also I’ve noticed that the faction that covers less area of the map is often more concetrated in their efforts. More united as to say since they have less objectives to choose from.
anything that excludes people during a period is a no go. simple answer is normalise scoring i’m copying this into various threads as its a really good idea
“I talked this subject to death on GW2Guru, but the answer is normalising scores across a 24 hour period.
To do this whilst maintaining the current WvW infrastructure you would have to split the day into sections maybe 6-8 hours in length. at the end of each period the side winning gets 3 points the second gets 2 and last gets 1 point or 2,1,0 if you are feeling mean.
The maps do not reset the simple ticking scores reset, by doing this if a side dominates completely during the downtime they deserve to win. but if a side scores a hard earned win during the peak hours they also score the same winning points.
what keeps people from not waiting for the time to tick over is that the map doesn’t reset so even if you’re 100,000 points down you’ll want to get as many points ticking over at the start of the next time interval.
by implementing a system like this Arena Net can maintain all of their current WvW scoring systems whilst not trivialising how WvW is won and without devaluing anyones playtime.”
