Which class is best at getting away while your teammates die? I’m really torn between thief and d/d elem ATM and just can’t make a decision.

Some background: I hate dying more than anything and I’m not really a team player (if you get my drift).

You use Dynnen as a meat shield, with 2 legendaries he will get alot more attention then you
Then you yell at a thief for a “Shadow Refuge” and leave the battlefield

There really isn’t anyway to answer this question. There is no best.

D/D eles and thieves are numerous and do well, but there are a few hard counters to certain class/builds. I run a power/condition necro built solely around making bunker builds die. Depending on the player, d/d eles kind of melt in 1v1 (although I have been crushed by a few as well, rarely is it ever a 1v1 fight though). Thieves tend to hit hard quick, realize I didn’t die on their opening combo, see their health dropping and bail (some come back, some die – or I die, etc).

Guardians, especially tanking builds, do very well. Even my upleveled 52 guardian can survive thieves and eles.

But really, it comes down to what class/build combo is best suited to your play style.

Also, you can look at engineer, if you really just want to “get away”. Go to youtube and search for Nisha the Medicat. He’s kind of funny and his videos are a pretty good indicator of his survivability.

Probably thief. They’re good at running away. Plus, you got culling on your side!

The point of WvW is not to run away during battle. Usually, you run when your keep/tower is for sure going to be taken over, at which point, it is then ok to jump off the wall and run. If you don’t like dying, why are you playing WvW?

Thief > Ele when it comes to escaping and surviving. Sure an Ele can probably get away as well but thieves … even more so with the current culling issues … hands down will be better at escaping then an ele.

Ele’s can be CC’d easier and what not, where as thief well just go stealth and leave the fight.

Befriend someone with a bunch of legendaries and a commander icon and run away while he is being focused down. It’s not what class you play it’s who you play with that matters. That’s thinking outside of the box.

BTW, I’m not sure if I should laugh or cry that people took this parody seriously. :P
