I am working on my legendary and have all the parts finished now. Only need the Gift of Battle.

I am a handicapped PVE player, because of my handicap i do not have a very fast reaction and on top of that i am almost deaf, which makes it impossible to use TS.

I can handle myself pretty well in PVE, but in WvW i notice to be more dead than alive. I am just too slow.

Since i really want (need) that GoB i need to do the whole reward track to get it.

So here is my question: from all the profs (i have them all on 80) which one would be best for me.
I know my best option is to run with a zerg, so i can join a squad – usually untill i get kicked because of being dead all the time and not using TS.

What would you advise me for prof and how to get that reward track done?

I’m really sorry to hear that you get kicked for being dead or not using TS. Dying is part of everyday WvW play for most players. I also understand about TS too – I have a friend who can’t use TS for a similar reason and so when I command I use the in game chat too. It’s not as effective, but a good pug commander should work with all his/her team.

For professions- try Guardian as something that can be fairly tanky and helpful in a group. You should be able to get enough hits with Staff 1. I suspect you would prefer to not dodge too often or have to kite around enemies to get the best angle of attack, so any class that can have a high toughness and good sustain should be suitable.

Are you in a guild? Can they help? A small guild group can roam fairly well in most tiers and you can use the Guild Hall WvW reward track boost along with any other WvW boosters you have.

It may help if you can tell us which server you are on – someone may be able to assist you or recommend a good guild or commander.

Another alternative is to try Edge of the Mists – I think it’s the same reward tracks and may be less elitist.

Maybe try a tanky backline (ranger? necro?). Get a few hits in then back off. Use some exp boosts to make it go faster; all you need to do is keep your participation up.

Well since you just need the Gift of Battle, just stick around with the class you feel most comfortable with and compare the meta builds, just go close to it. Then you just need to run in blobs, pick a ranged weapon class, and just tag everything, until your Participation Level is full. Then just pick a few Boosters which increase the gain by Participation and just kill an NPC every 3mins. Watch a movie besides so you dont get bored, water your plants etc.

Since you are just doing for GOB, the zerg class without having extensive gearing up would be power wells reaper. Just mixing zerker and cavalier / valkyrie will do. Cavalier for armor to reduce direct dps, valkyrie for hp to sustain conditions, choose either but not both. Make sure you have reasonable amount of crit rate.

Can’t help ya on the class, each to his own. But grab a trackbooster buff from ghalls and try to do dailies which gives you potions to fasten it up. (think a full track takes like 70ish potions)

And if you keep on getting kicked from squad, just dont join it and run at the tag like in the old days.

Supplement what you’re doing by being sure to do as many of the WvW dailies as you can. The rewards grant one or two sips of track XP at 250 per sip. You’d need 80 sips for whole track and GOB even if you did nothing else.

Thank you all for the suggestions on how to tackle this. I didnt know about the participation, so will keep an eye on it. Also i will try my Guardian and Necro and do the dailies.
