Who else is growing tired of being in the middle of a keep siege, tower siege, or anything WvW related where you spend amounts of your personal gold to setup siege, then arenanet comes along with a message saying “New build update, you will be kicked from WvWvW”.

Now, I wouldn’t be so upset if Arenanet gave a warning like “WvWvW is coming down in 30 minutes for an update”…that would be a lot more acceptable.

But bringing the WvWvW server down 30 seconds after the warning is really starting to piss me off. I believe it has happened to me 3 or 4 times now, with a total wasted gold on my end of about 1 total gold from losing catapults/other siege that I was using to take keeps/towers before the wvwvw server promtply shut down with very very very very very little warning.

Is this a ploy by arenanet to get more cash from us? They know WvWvW is a huge money sink anyways, so why not randomly bring the server down with little warning to force WvW people to waste even more money? -If so, are they not gaining enough money by getting people to waste gems on black lion chest keys with the .00001% chance of actually getting something good?

I am really getting sick of this. Anyone else?

I think you have a good idea with more warning for WvW, however I don’t think there is a conspiracy from ANet to get your gold using this tactic.

I know…it just is so frustrating… I have little gold as it is and to have it be wasted beyond my control just erks me.

But I suppose bringing attention to the topic and discussing it helps alleviate the frustration…even if only slightly.

How about he loss of Golems, any progress on the upgrades currently going (1.5g down the tubes for fortifying your keep) or any of the other things that happen? Ultimately frustrating. At least wait 10 minutes after kicking everybody out to turn the servers back on. At least give people a chance to get back in at the same time, like when the matches start over. Otherwise, there’s the potential for one server to get their “zerg” in faster and start wreaking havoc with little opposition for a small time.
