The new camera system isnt bad.
Its just a new way of using it and Anet said as well people have been doing this before the changes so it just makes it more possible for everyone to use it instead of just a few that know how to bug it before.
You know right that you can just put down a siege disable and kill it with your siege that you got up inside your keep or tower?
Next patch all player will fly over wall.

I’d rather see a couple of people doing it then the majority. Think ac could use a fixed camera now with this change. Shooting all the siege inside from other side of wall is just ridicilous.

I love the new camera changes, It makes WvW more intreseting and it makes it feel more alive.
People were cheating before, the camera FIX we recieved put that power in the hands of everyone instead of the hands of just unf trainer users.
No, just no. I legit will quit if they remove the camera changes. Cheaters are still op as it is.
So AC placed behind walls,shooting through walls/gates is intented?I thought its just some exploit.Just today happened few times,even got shot by AC at lord,from zerg outside the keep,through wall.Sad story than,if this is ok

It makes defending walls with limited LoS impossible if the opposing server has an Omega. Rockets now shoot through walls.
That is why we will get shield generator. Just stay calm and wait ^^ Currently all changes are made to balance it with HoT exapansion. Just look at stabillity changes, it makes everything unbalanced if it is about ccs, but probably revenant and specializations fix it.

Depends on your settings.
There is a checkbox that allows you to unbind the camera position from your characters hight, which allows to set its vertical offset freely, regardless if you are human, asura or norn.
Completely agree with the OP. It needs to revert back to the old view.
At least the old way there were only a handful of players with the three-monitor setup that could abuse the camera angles. And GW2 players got creative with those types — they’d simply flag everyone on map who had the three-monitor setup and ensure that player was killed over and over again before he even had a chance to drop an AC/Balli.
The new angles make it impossible to set up anything defensive for towers .. a single ac can wipe all. There’s even youtube videos outlining how to eliminate siege at inner keeps from outside the walls. It’s nuts.
They need to revert it back to the way it was.

Definitly no! New camera is best thing they gave us( finally normal fiew as asura, not some ground camera) since start of 2015. If it is about siege for defenders u just don’t know: a) how to put it ; b) wehre to put it ; c) how to eliminate attackers. Also as u wrote with old system some players that could buy / run 3 monitors had advantages and could abuse system. That wasn’t cool towards students and ppl who simply enjoy games but aren’t willing to spend bonus money for more monitors or just didn’t want to play 3 monitors to cheat. With new settings all have same chances so no more money / gameplay stuff to not be able to do something.
Pre-camera angle update:
- limited players using suspicious other means of being able to view ‘higher’ or ‘zoomed out’ FoV
Seems unfair on everyone else.
After camera angle update:
- people now have the option to have more FoV, proper angles to suit their desires etc

Long story short: This is somewhat considered new to many players as they haven’t experienced it before therefore enabling a wider variety of counter-play to certain aspects of the game regarding siege placement thanks to the new camera angles. Sure, there will be players out there who find the ‘snazzy, cool new spot’ to camp an AC but then that becomes the norm, just like pre-update camera angles and people will find other means to counter-play or get their way with things.
Personally, the only problem I have with the camera angles fully zoomed out is sometimes on siege (particularly ACs, Rams & Catas) the FoV and ‘character height’ will suddenly snap back to the original max zoom and you’re stuck with that original FoV until you get off the siege. It’s annoying. Especially in the midst of battle just when you need the new camera max zoom. Ha.
Its easy to blaim the new camera for skills and siege going through walls and hitting stuff in out of view areas.
But really, its the game mechanics that are broken. We have always been able to see behind objects and around walls(people “hiding” when half their tag shows, lol).
So tell Anet to fix the frikkin broken skills already instead. Dragons tooth and arrowcarts should be LoS limited. Arrowcart should never even have the insta-response 360 no-scope triple-skills-at-once rain of hell firing mechanics, it should work like a catapult – charge to arc fire arrows, turn slowly by pressing keys. The same apply to ballista. All siege should function by the same rules. Just like all skills (ie nerf dragontooth)

It was possible before the change, just a little trickier.
Sounds like camera system was a needed change to me. Now people can’t hide in towers on their siege 24/7 or spam 1 from the wall without being in danger. Also, if you die from anything on the other side of the wall you shouldn’t be blaming anything/anyone but yourself.

Yeah, dragon tooth only needs to select target and be within range. It’s great for defending gates too as it hits the ram when standing behind a wall.
I think the new field of view is fine, previously anyone with multiple monitors could do same, now it’s available to everyone. But why these skills/siege ignore LoS is mind-boggling, makes sieging up irrelevant.
The system is bad,it makes their Own map design pointless…E.g The supphuts in SM on EB are all made to have trebs on them able to hit every tower its pointing at,these used to be spots only killable by mortars/treb/bali…With the new camera system people only have to set an ac next to the wall thats reaching the supphouse,its utterly ridiculous.Remember the previous ac range patch a long time ago ? This needs fixing aswell,make a set fov when you equip sieges so your own map design isnt borked anymore.
