You have admitted that it was a mistake to not include this to be obtainable in all paths of the game. But still we see no mention of this being implemented. Can we get a release date for your correction. So will it be Feb, March, or maybe April. How long will you let the mistake continue before you correct it.

About as long as it takes for the hamster wheel crowd to start complaining there´s nothing to do i´d say. Then release previous armor everywhere and “accidentaly” add new armor somewhere grindy.

Seriously A-Net, how long does it really take to add Ascended gear to the WvWvW token vendor? The longer you wait the further behind the W3 crowd falls. We should not be treated like second-class citizens in a game that was built around PvP.

And for god’s sake don’t put the ascended armor in the jumping puzzle. That would be an extra slap in the face.

It seems like this would be ridiculously easy to implement. Unless they are going to make new skins for WvW ascended, but even that shouldn’t take too long.

20-50% higher stats item to item aren’t minor differences.

It’s random chance in fractals to get one, let alone the one you want. Being able to straight up buy them would make WvW a much faster way of getting them unless the price was high.

If they make the price high then people will complain it’s too long a grind when you could potentially get it “first time” in PvE.

What I’m saying is most people will complain regardless, so ArenaNet cannot win and shouldnt’ try.

Math is wrong and infusion slots have stats too. Compare the backpacks, lol.

The math isn’t wrong, and the +5 for the infusion slots have been taken into consideration. On the back pieces. Results are still 8-9%.

Just run fractals with your guild. If you have a solid group you can get 1-10 in a day easily. Then you just have to run level ten once a day and eventually you’ll get your rings. If your lucky you’ll find a vial of mists essence while your at it. Then you can craft a back piece as well.

I do agree they need to add this loot to the WvW vendors. Or at least an equivalent. But I dont think its too much of an issue right now. They arent very hard to get unless your really freakin unlucky.

Are the backpacks not being upgraded from rare? They are jumping 1 tier + ascended. Rings are going from exotic to ascended. They make a better gauge. Its hard to take you seriously if you just say lol, rather then post actual numbers. I honestly haven’t looked at the ascended stats, I just took the 8% on trust. If its wrong it would be nice to know.

And who cares as long as it’s only rings and a backpack? When they add more items, they’ll add more ways to get them.

This is true. They already stated it was a mistake to make the rings RNG. Next major update will probably include other ways to acquire them that dont involve running fractals 500 times to get one ring.

I don’t PvE at all and I’m sickened at the thought of waiting until March or whenever it might be, before I can even think of catching up.

Invader’s is exotic. If you’re using rares despite doing nothing but WvW, that’s your own fault. I make a lot of money doing nothing but WvW all day. I bought my first set of exotics with a lot of the money I made in WvW.

Well I have roughly the same amount of gold now as I did 2 months ago and it doesn’t go up because anyone who cares about WvW spends it on upgrades and siege equipment.

I chose to buy into GW2 specifically because of WvW. I’m totally burnt out on PvE after playing MMO’s for over 10 years. Yes it’s my choice, but I thought that was what GW2 was all about.

I have bought all my rare Invaders with Karma as you said.
I am aware I can buy better with badges but really? I haven’t bought anything with badges yet and still only have around 400, despite constant WvW for 4 hours or more pretty much every night, for months.

Took a break this last week because I feel I’m being forced to PvE in order to see any further progress with my character.

Rift made the same mistake of catering only to the PvE crowd. I waited 6 months in the hopes of improvements to Rift openworld PvP, but it wasn’t forthcoming and I moved on.

I fear GW2 is heading in the same direction.

they wont implement this in purpose, still belive they force us to grind that stupid dungeon 390 times for an item. Atm every one I know dont even care about this, we live in our own “horizontal progression” bubble. If they implement… good, if not…. kitten off with your dungeon and your kitten pwe

unfortunately, they’ve indicated that more 20-50% gear is coming via fractals. armor and weapons. you wont have a choice. I hate it too.

500 per ring would be a dream for me, but I highly doubt they will make it this easy to obtain. If this were the case there would be an uproar of PvE players complaining about how they hate to PvP and how the PvP players have it so easy to obtain ascended gear without having to grind for hours and hours. And let’s face it, the majority of the players still regularly playing and ejoying this game are people who enjoy grinding dungeons.

Wait a minute, why would they complain about grinding for hours and hours in PVE, if they are doing it because they love it?

And if all time is simply grind, then getting 500 badges would certainly count as a grind. But at least you acquire them in the game mode you prefer. Nothing would force PVE players to PVP, they would have their way to obtain it and WvW players would have theirs. If you do both things, then maybe get one item each way.

Where are the complete patch notes? I don’t see them anywhere. Don’t you think you are jumping the gun? I see your QQ post as a prediction you are predicting that they didn’t add them. You could be right. But what if you are wrong. If your right thats great. But if your wrong I’m going to come back and criticize you for unnecessary QQing after the patch is out and call you a noob.
