The new Dot Icons make wvw definately look better and its easier to count but they can’t be used without losing the tactical ability to see enemies and their ridiculous long names behind every wall.

The old superlong names must be finally completely removed or the new Dots can’t be used without weakening yourself.

the dots definitely clean up the screen but yes they hide the long names. If it was global that would make the playing field even. But… everyone has the ability to turn them on or off so that evens things up. It’s definitely NOT a show stopper.

I mean, if anyone chooses to use the dots instead of the long names then it’s “your” choice on how you play. If you can’t see me… heh, well then I might shoot your head off before you know I’m there.. :P

I have all names off and always have had. Even the dots are more clutter than I want to see. If that makes me more vulnerable, big deal. I’d rather have clean visuals any day. If I want to know who someone is or what guild they rep or how high they rank then I’ll target them. Otherwise I’d rather see images than icons or writing hanging in the air.

Or they could actually make it so that tags fade out when a player isnt visible on your viewport.

But sure, lets annoy a large part of the WvW base instead with the new absolutely worthless and kittenty tags thats the opposite of what people wanted since we wanted to differentiate linked servers.

Its not like WvW need players, right?
