So with new expansion incoming and likely mounts too, do you think we will get mounts in wvw like rangers can get pets there? Also I was thinking maybe we will get player housing in the citadel, like little apartments to store mounts. Maybe even player housing in the towers and keeps so when an enemy flips the keep you cannot reuturn to your house to switch mounts. Would give incentive to hold objectives and also flip them so you could steal people’s mounts and any decorations they have like silverware. Would also be a good place to reinstate crafting stalls.

I think these features would be great to draw in pvers and pvpers alike as fights over the best houses would break out all over the map. Thinking a bidding game where highest bidder of the month gets to 1v1 the current owner best of 5, and players can also hire other players as their champion for gold.

Idk I just can’t wait for mounts and player housing in wvw !!!

I will believe in mounts when I see them, but even if they’re in PvE, I can’t see them coming to WvW particularly if there this changes average player speed. Anet wants there to be a time gap between scouts reporting and the cavalry arriving.

As for player housing? Again not likely just because of server requirements. WvW is already lagging like hell some days. Go ahead, and a personalized apartment in the Citadel for every player and watch the game mode get stuck like a traffic behind a freeway car crash.

While mounts would be interesting, I cannot imagine it as it would be adding to lag further – even mini’s are shut off for various reasons. If they are somehow able to tackle lag in terms of calculations and run a server that is able to handle all the stress as well as have it hosted somewhere where routing/latency is not an issue for most, then probably they could add something like this. Housing would also be an issue, if not for the extra loading/syncing times depending on what you mean by housing.

nope. Mounts only in PvE. All we get is probably a whole slew of class imbalance issues with the new elite specs.
