Hi there!
I’m working for software company like QA Specialist i have play MMO’s from 10 years and in GW2 i have huge amount of fun and its one of the few thats make me to write that sort of things.I want to represent you an idea for WvW remake to fix some issues.
For the population issue. Merging Servers is optimal:
First Merge only low populated servers.
Benefits:
You will have more balanced WvW population.
Second:
Remove the Blobs And Grind in EotM. – This is not PvP, WvW its PvE Grind….
Benefits:
Players will have more open PvP experience.
Third:
Make defence have equal prizes like attacking points.
Benefits:
In this case you will have more people defending they objects and not running point to point. You will rise the interest of upgrading structures.
Forth:
Make Buff Outnumbered mean something. Give slight benefits of stats for the outnumbered team and some + PPT.
Benefits:
Now people seeing Outnumbered buff just leave WvW. It will make more people to stay.
Fifth:
Points in “off time”. I have post in WvW Discussion 2 formulas: [Its example only]
1. If the 1 of the teams is 50 % more than the summary of the others two it will earn less points. Its like Threshold and the more is the people above that Threshold the less will be PPT for that World.
Teams:
R = 5 Players
G = 5 Players
B = 15 Players
B> R+G with 50
. B – have World Debuff with 40% less PPT
Next case:
B = 17 Players Its about 75% more than others two. In this case The debuff will rise from 40% to 65% less PPT
And thats till the debuff rise to 90% Less PPT.
2. If one of the worlds have 60 % more people of one of the another worlds it shoud have the same debuff calculated above that threshold like:
R = 10 players
B = 3 players
G = 5 players
In this case R have above 60% people more than B and its Have debuf for 35% less PPT.
If the people above the threshold rise, the debuff will rise.
If G and R have above 60% more people than B they have both the same debuff.
When we have situation when 1 world have two of debuffs they earn the highest only and +5% on top of him.
In the Borderlands only when the number of people that defend the map of borderlands world its above 15 then they activate the formulas for that world on that map. (you need to protect your home).

I have not think about it… If you like what I’ve wrote i’ll make 1 upgrade for EotM too.

HOW TO REMOVE THE BLOB:
Assign small groups to area to defend and conquer and make dynamic event only for them. = Divide the BLOB and make it more like an army of small forces.
In this case the BLOB cannot take points for taking or defending something…
Benefits:
The fights will be more fun and tactic based.
When you go to large scale battle you will have to choose what is your part of that battle and where you will strike, how to take your objective and make path for other group that defending you at the time you finish the objective.

Make that divided groups in some cases cant fight each other (depends of the objective for which fighting for).
Make a “Squad leader” to pick the objectives of the war.

To decide:
To help another group or go for the next point to capture. To attack 2 groups fighting for objectives from behind the site…

I’m in group of 5 people and I’m a Squad leader. On the map we have 2 more groups of 5 people for my team.
I have to decide: To attack a nearly camp with my group or to help the group who tries to take the tower.
Have my group the time for both or we need to go for the tower?
I can take the camp but if the third group don’t defend the group that go for the tower and 2 or 1 enemy team’s group go to defend that tower we may lose the battle for that point.
I can go to defend the group attacking the tower if i finish the camp fast or quit the camp in the middle of the battle to support the tower group. In that case the third group can support me and take the camp if they are far away from tower group.
The third group can go direct for open field battle with enemy teams to slow them down till we can take the points. To bye us time. And so on…

For large scale battles:
The groups are allowed to participate like this:
Objectives :
T1 = 1 group of 5 people for each world + 1 roamer (defence only)
T2 = 2 to 3 groups of 5 people for each world +3 roamers (defence only)
T 3 = 3 to 4 groups of 5 people for each world +5 roamers (defence only)
T 4 = 4 to 5 groups of 5 people for each world +8 roamers (defence only)
For major tiers Every group to take points have a assignment to do. To Pick what role they have in the event.
The groups must communicate with each other to know what to do.
Benefits:
More people communicating = more fun. More Guilds will have fun. It will be like Open PVP Raid.
More or less the PVE guilds and players will join and rise the population in WvW.

For Roamers:
Purpose of roamers – they have to scout the map and give the information about enemy teams to theirs team. To disrupt supply caravans and kill scouts (roamers) of the opposite teams to take big rewards ( not that big as the teams capturing the points or defending they, but fair).
When Defending Roamers:
Can Defend without being in group state but they have a choice to go in that stance to take big rewards. ( in defending its allowed to have roamers depending of the free slots for the event)

When we have a group with 3 members defending point of T1 Class the number of roamers that can join is 2 + 1:
2 – to fill the slots for the event and 1 to fill additional roamer slot.

Roamers can Group up to Offense one or another point. (they need to go to group state)

Roamer can fight with only one group at the time and 1 group can fights 3 roamers at the time.
Roamers can fight with roamers from enemy teams but not more than 2 v 1 or 1v1v1 at the time. When they go in fight they need to watch out for enemy teams group.
More than 3 roamers can’t fight with one group at the time. (it have people who prefer to fight against 2 or 3 people …. )
When roamer attack point he go to group state and need to find 4 more people or he’ll fight like group (outnumbered).
Roamers and all groups can defend or attack ruins and supply caravans. (for roamers without going in group state).
supply caravan is T1.

Battlefield – field without objectives besides “win the open field battle”.
In one battle on the battle field without any objective can fight 3 to 4 groups.
When the cap of the objective or for battlefield is reached only groups participating in event or the battle can fight only each other, another group that comes cant fight with them.They can fight each other or wait till they can support the teams that fighting and take the died people places in the fight.
Roamers can participate on battlefield in number of 5 for each world.

When the battle of 1 field is over or the Group/people of five is done another group can take the place of the dead. (its need to have only 5 dead members of the world that new 5 of the same world take their place.

When to battle’s appear on the same battlefield the survivors of the previous can take place of the dead of each battle.

The same for 2 or more battles in one, two or more Battlefields.

This idea is based on extremely dynamic events and new system of area participation in WvW.
Raid Based system where the ’mobs" and “Bosses” are another players teams.

We all know that for large raid like this is need large group of people in this case is more than 5-6 groups only for the keeps cooperating for their goal.

And every group have they goal in the battle.
1 Defending the siege team. One infiltrating enemies supply camps near or lure them to bye tI’me for attacking group… so many possibilities and tactics.
In this case the maps of WvW are divided to areas, we currently have the names of the points of interest, its areas, only need to divide them.
The fun in WvW is in the Strategy and fighting Another players.

For the last example ill bring you a fight for 1 keep. you know they have 2 walls and its hard to capture. Here one strategy for doing that.

Keep is T4 -T5 maybe (ill leave it you to decide).
We are Blue team, the enemy is Red.
In the Keep they have 1 group of 5 people defending it.
One of our roamers said to us that 5 groups are going to the same keep o defend but we have 3 min maybe before they can reach us.
We have only 5 groups for the attack and 1 that can come after 5 min to support us because they are far away from here and attacking supply camp.
Red don’t know that we are prepared for them.
2 groups are assign to bring down the gate and the inner gate. They decide how to do it but do it.
Other 3 will defend in the open battle against the 5 groups from red coming to slaughter us.
three people of my group is assign to arrow cart’s other 2 of us will defend them and the siege team . The rest 2 Teams Will Defend us.
My teams goal is to take down as many of the enemy as we can and not allow them to help the defenders.
The team’s on the battle field goal is to slow them and kill as many as they can till the last group come to help us.

Red are near and we have start shooting arrows at them. The other two teams that are on the battle field are choose to stand they ground and use spells to make wall or area that can stop enemy attack and bye more time for arrows to max out the damage.

We succeed to delay them enough and our final group are attack from behind Red team.

Ok in this case at the start we are 3 groups on field against 5. And 2 Blue against 1 Red defending the keep.
The 3 groups of us have no chance of winning the fight but we can delay them …
One of the groups will eventually pass us and for that we assign 2 groups for attacking the keep.
That make us 3 vs 4 in the middle of the battle or 3 vs 3 if we are take out 5 members. I assume that the 2 blue groups under the rain of arrows are fine for now.
In the late fight we are winning because 1 Blue group coming from behind the red team and take them out. At that tI’me one of the battlefield groups and 2 free members of my party going to help the group attacking the keep.
In the end:
We have taken the keep and make good fight.

You see teams switching attack and defence in one event (and 2 sub events) for taking the keep.
That type of WvW i offer to you.

Final benefits:
More ppl will play WvW and enjoy it. More ppl will communicate, It will fix issue’s about population in WvW, the grind. Off time play.
PPT disbalance. More fair fights more tactics, More play for ppl who want to play not blobbing around.
And you don’t miss large scale battles. Small fights. Clever tactics and good commanders.

I think we all want such fights in WvW.
