Q:

Dear Anet,

Are you just going to admit that you totally ruined a whole WvW week for almost everyone and promise us that you won’t do this ever again until you at least try to balance the population in the servers? Because doesn’t matter how good you are in WvW, doesn’t matter how awesome of a commander you might be... in the end is all about how big your zerg is.

I truly hope you fix this because.... because yeah you just kitten up big time.

I’m on SBI (should have moved to T5 this week) and we got Mag and DB (T3 and T2…)

So yes, we’re getting destroyed, but it’s still fun anyway. Had a couple of good duels earlier, a fun desperate keep defense (unsuccessful), etc. It’s not like first, second, and third are ever really in doubt, especially not after Monday or so.

That said, there is a point where the numbers disparity is just too great. I know the goal was to shake up some stale matchups, but maybe we can do that without the #13 server facing off against #5. That’s a massive difference.

Before the change, there a was amount of complaining about matches being stale and facing the same 2 worlds week after week.

They implemented a change to address this, and now people are complaining about not having the same matches. Poor Devon must feel like there’s a hole that can only get deeper, even though so much is being done as per suggestions from players and trying to add more to the experience.

Wvw is getting more attention now than ever before, so I agree now is the time to put forward your thoughts, but for a system that’s been in place for two days, people are being incredibly harsh and narrow. At least give it a good chance and time to go through some tweaking if necessary.

I agree a bit of tweaking may be to some benefit, but the randomising on the whole will help keep matches fresh and give a large amount of variety.

Exactly my point. They can shake all they want as they want, IF and only IF they create the basics to do so… they forgot about the basics and just went ahead to shake it… whats the result? I would say that the majority of WvW non-casual players are not happy, the disparity in numbers is ridiculous, and no I’m not enjoying spanking SBI nonstop, and no I’m not happy with this endless DB slaughter… you just killing them over and over and over they just keep coming like a kitten Orrian undead army lol… Clearly as I said before, in the is all about numbers.

I understand what Anet trying to accomplish here, but they clearly didn’t do good job here. 1-Fix population issues / 2-Shake w/e you want

I agree that the matches were stale and something had to be done… does this looks like a solution? No… I mean just no….

Work needs to be polished before releasing it to the public. What for us is just a video game, entertainment, for them is a business and they should take it more seriously.

Anet makes things that are simple, complicated.

All anet needs to do is have the winners advance in tier, the world that placed 3rd drop a tier, and the 2nd placer stay in there tier.

But they make this complicated bad system instead.

New system in place? I am on Anvil Rock server and we have been against Ehmry
Bay and Borliss Pass for I dont know how long, and was somewhat intrigued with what other servers we would be going against only to find out we are paired with Ehmry Bay and Borliss Pass. uber, u must be a rocket scientist to come to a realization of that difficult of a solution such as moving winners up and losers down. That type of thought was probably used when civilization converted the a round wheel, hats off to ya uber!!

We’ve been asking for Winners up and losers down for a very long time now, but Anet is still married to a complex mathematical wizardry to determine which servers go where. And lets be serious now, Winners up and Losers down actually puts impetous on, you know, trying not to lose. There is actually a consequence for losing. On Tier 5, AR has consistently lost for the last 2 months and have all but given up fighting Ebay and BP. They are now just karma farming by flipping towers and leaving. Nothing happens, so why bother trying to win?
