Anet should really mix up how WvW is played to keep things fresh and exciting. After looking at the leaderboard, I had an idea. Why not put the #1 server up against the rest of the world in a new WvW game mode? The mechanics would be similar to how EotM is played. Using current rankings, BG (NA) or Desolation (EU) would enter the map representing their own server in the Red Keep, and everyone else would enter as either Frostreach or Overgrowth (friendly to each other).

To make WvW popular, rewards would need to be overhauled. Participation in WvW would determine a player’s reward level. Top reward in this game mode would have to be juicy. If BG wins, the players with high participation % should get Gems. If BG loses, they simply lose points in their ranking, and the rest of the world players would get a chest of Exotics or something.

Anyone who wants to have a taste of victory or the desire to learn or the freedom just to login and have fun and not feeling lost after you joined a map should have an account at BG.

Just open an free account on BG when it is open and convert when GW 2 is 50% off.

How about just blowing up the game mode cause no one should care about ppt anymore at this point except for BG and a few other try hards. Offering people rewards from doing a boring task will get old quick.

Sounds a lot like Diku’s Globes.

Just put the supposedly higher populated server link teams in a match against BG.

Trouble is Blackgate is picking up their lead with overnight ppt not winning fights.

It was made worse when they made T3 objectives tick for more, they should only award more points to capture.

If we wanted score to actually matter it would be nice if they weighted the capture points based on the map activity (how many kills have happened in the current skirmish)

PPK has been killed by ANET’s new upgraded objective ppt rewards. It’s all about sitting in a keep with 50 ac’s out there instead of fighting.

How about making PPK scale by server online population?

At 8:00pm, there are 50 of server A, for example Mag, and 50 of server B, say BG, at the Eternal Battleground, then 1 PPK for each side.

Then at 4:00am, there are 5 Mag and 80 BG at EB, then Mag receives 80/5=16PPK and BG receives 5/80 = 0.0625 PPK.
