New WvW skills
That is a shame man:( …. was really hoping of a unique skill per proff.
But atleast we get some;) …..wonder what passive it will be…..mabye increase limit of targets with healing/boons/dps ???

We are further screwed now. Direct damage classes (warriors, thieves, etc) will be able to level up their wvw only skill super fast. While necros will take forever to level them up to a usable level.

I sincerely hope that they add some cosmetics to people who WvW a lot too.
Titles, armor sets, effects, anything is welcome at this point.

it all depends on what for type of zerg and guild you play in. sure some do dps melee warriors with some eles here and there and necros but there are all kind of zergs and guilds you just need to find your place.
I got all classes rangers,warriors,guardians,necros,rangers etc and everyone get as many badges around 150/300 per hour. you just need to wipe enough zergs.

Because all most people can do is complain about class balance issues despite overlooking how good a class can be in another aspect of the game. Such as necros being able to get around supervisor buffs, make boon guardians cower in fear, improve overall group play, etc.
Because support builds get no love. Hopefully, that’s one of the March changes.

Ele’s and all other classes already have that ability. It’s called moving…

I think generally the only thing that makes necro’s screwed in WvW is the players playing them. Even a half decent necro is a priority target because of their impact on a fight. If you feel useless as a necro you are simply playing it wrong.
As for the OP, I think this is fine, as long as there is a nice collection of fun and useful passives that are worth working towards. There is no need to create a vertical progression system, horizontal will work just as well.
The greater concern for me is that whatever they implement is going to be half-bass, unimaginative, and boring that no one will care about it, and be greatly disappointed, after waiting 6 months for it.

I think the big issue is will these abilities change anything wrt to wvw in it’s current state. I don’t foresee people wanting to keep dealing with the current state of wvw just to be able to provide a few extra supply sometime down the road. Get orbs or something back in the game for kitten’s sake. For a business that got everyone to buy in to their dev chats about how serious and committed they were to wvw, I’m pretty disappointed atm.

Fine. Pets are pretty useless anyway.

All the ranger spirits will make zergs much more festive…. and their screams will fill the air all the time.
As long as titles and armor skins are also on the list of things we get I’m cool, little passive increases like carrying more supply are a good way to progress with out power creep.

Sorry, for some people a title over their head and new armor looks are last on the list of things to fix in wvw. Personally, those things matter zero to me and just because I think supply perks aren’t going to help draw people to continue playing doesn’t mean I want overpowered skills or anything like that. Culling, bug fixes, wvw mechanics working instead of simply removed (orbs anyone?!), and things that actually improve game play are what I am waiting to hear about. If they just implement titles and armor skins and skills like extra supply and don’t actually address the issues people have been griping about people will be even more disappointed imo.

I think it’ll be cool, but to be honest, I’d continue playing WvW anyway because it is fun. Getting some progression—ANY progression—is better than nothing, though.

Not to be offtopic, but WoW had stealth detection for hunters – it was called hunter’s mark or something. Did that break rogues/deter people from playing rogues? No. Get over yourself. Man, thieves sure are entitled and whiny.

Adding a progression system does not take away people from doing what your asking also.
Culling is a server issue and is being worked on by the tech team
Orbs are an issue with the maps being explotable and they have map designers to work On that (I hope they are working on it at least)
Other bugs are worked on by other teams.
Now I’m with you that the things that effect wvw need to be moved up in priority but we will have to see.

Good. I do not want new skills. I want the passive type buffs that will encourage smaller group play. Increased supply is a good start. Maybe increased damage against siege equipment when only surrounded by a few people. Maybe increased damage using siege equipment when only surrounded by a few people. Things like that
