Hello all, I have decided that with the new year, I will be moving to a new server. Mainly, for WvW. My current server, Gate of Madness, is not giving me the enjoyment that I want out of WvW. I would like to be part of organized parties and run different tactics. I feel my current server will never get there. The only commander I respected on our server does not seem to log in anymore. Last I talked with them they seemed to imply they were done with WvW due to the BS with nub commanders and zerglings (ie people that just play follow the leader).

With that said, I do not care if the server I join does not win all the time. I just want to be part of something OTHER than a zerg. I want to be able to go into WvW and join up with a group willing to run a strategy, and try different tactics. I want organization and leadership. I would like to stay with my current guild, but I would represent another guild when WvWing.

So, do you think your current server has what I want? If so please leave a post below. I would love to hear what you guys think of your servers WvWing.

If you want a challenge and a focus WvW server look into Fort Aspenwood, out maned, but never outdone. Really good guilds like ULTD, BT, PRO and so on have been able to hold our server in tier 3 and the best part there’s rarely a que.

Why come to ET rather than a winning server?

We have great commanders and several guilds that work together each night coming up with new plans and tactics to put up 1 hell of a fight.

We don’t run around in mindless zergs for karma trains, instead we use tactics and takeover several things at the same time whilst distracting invaders.

To us at ET, wvw is not about the winning, but about the enjoyment and activity from it.

We have a community that listens to each other rather than argue with each other.

We may not be winning as we don’t have the population to do so yet, but when Eredon Terrace steps into WvWvW, we become 1, 1 community, 1 spirit, 1 Sword in the chest of an invader, to fight our enemies with grace and loyalty.

So come ET.

Is a guild. Unlimited or ULTD tag there are more of those, but those are the most recent ones we have.

Both sounds like great servers! This might be a harder choice than I thought.

BTW cool videos roostapro. Nice clean, no BS, jumping puzzle guides. Too many have skips in them, crap music, etc.

I’ll vouch for this post. ET has been really fun to compete against, and they really put up a great fight! Tonight’s matchup in EB was no exception – ET’s Keep and Medon’s were epic fights, back and forth the entire way.

From Kain as well and I also second this . If you are into tactics against overwelming odds then ET is the place to go. They put up a very fun fight when they are active and have taken many a loot bag from us while still outnumbered 3-4 to 1 . Love fighting those guys.

Here’s the pitch for Dragonbrand. I seriously think we’re an up-and-coming t2 or t3 server in the making. We have a night crew that’s one of the best in the game, and our day crew is really starting to bulk up in both size and sophistication. We’re not 100% where we want to be, so you will still find yourself in some desperate situations (we had a time this week where all the territory our server had was a keep, a tower, and a camp in EB, and we had to figure out how to just survive). The people on Dragonbrand are fun and genuinely like WvW, and there are a lot of us who are happy to help onboard new people about how we do things.

The best part of Dragonbrand, though, is that we are basically a PvE server. When I am out levelling alts with my wife, we never see empty zones and the “big” events like dragons get a zerg that makes our WvW zergs look like scouting parties. You can die almost anywhere in the world and you will probably be rezzed within 10 minutes.

Go to FA. We just had a great week this week. We got beat down into third place against IOJ and CD and managed to rally over X-mas and pull ahead into second. We have a great community and great commanders. Seriously, join us!

We have a great community at ET! Commanders work together, complimenting each other, no elitist mentality, does not matter what guild you are in. We formed an alliance of about 10+ guilds and expanding everyday, implement coordinated tactics. We never give up! Win or lose, we are in it for the fun and have faced overwhelming odds most times, which is extremely rewarding. ET fights with heart, can never break our spirit.

I would look at the Millenium matchup page as well before making a decision, I went to Kaineng to help a friend that recently purchased the game and could not get onto my serve. I have every intension of transfering back to my server with him ASAP because the Kaineng matchup is terrible and so boring that I would not recommend any one of those three servers in its current state.

Thats not to say they are bad servers but Kain owns everything 24/7 and I have seen maybe 30 ppl from the other servers over the last couple days.

Sorry T8 not trying to make you look bad, but anyone who enjoys WvW and playing against an enemy would hate your situation.

I have a really hard decision ahead I think.

So, far seems like my top choices are, TA, ET, and Yak’s.

TA, sounds like they have a great community, although I have been warned that it may be a bit immature.

ET, is getting a lot of good press in this thread. Sounds like great tactics, but they lack numbers.

Yaks, I have heard good things about this server since day 1. IDK what it is, but no one ever seems to have a bad thing to say about this server.

I have never understood this, other then good marketing? Having matched up against them a few times, my view is average at best.

We’re insanely competitive, and are looking to grow our WvW player base quite a bit.

We have several guilds, of different sizes, that work together, and use a server wide TS channel. There’s quite a bit of organization, and I feel you would likely enjoy it here. We haven’t been able to beat Blackgate for 7 weeks now, but we still haven’t stopped enjoying WvW enmasse.

We also probably have the largest matchup thread going right now with our discussions between us, BG and TC.

Kreese from HoD here and I would seriously ask you to consider ET – those guys fight like hell and have been through it too

if you want the opposite of zerg then that is ET they have always had to rely on tactics and grit as they haven’t had the numbers for zerging – also good to see ET earning a great rep down in T8 I knew they would

On Maguuma we achieve the impossible… daily. We frequently face larger numbers and win through hope, grit, determination and tactics. Do we win all the time, no. Does it really matter, no. Because we experience that thrill, those emotions you don’t expect from a computer game.

We have zerg’s but we are not defined by them. We are united though. If you need help on Maguuma, you get it.

There are many fine servers out there, your choice won’t be easy.

Join Sanctum of Rall! We have one of the strongest WvW communties out there and some of the best commanders and players. Our organization with all of our guilds is key to our success in T2 and we hope to quickly become a T1 server. We also have the strongest NA presence out of any other server. Since you are looking for a server that hungers for WvW each and every day, Sanctum of Rall is the best choice for you!

As someone also said before me, we are very competitive here in SoR. We never back down from a fight and we bring the pain each and every day!

try Sanctum of Rall. with some of your best guilds being outnumbered in NA offhours, we have learned to use stratagy over sheer manpower. as a T2 server we are well experienced with a great community, and are always looking for people willing to try to coordinate tactics. with a server wide TS3 as well, it makes the quick ability to pull of manuevers in the field very possible. look us up in some of the WvW forums, or guild recruiting forums to see who you would fit in with best.

Definitely have to second this. I love our WvW community ever since we fell from grace a few months ago. We’ve been humbled, we know what it’s like to lose, and we’re on our way back up. Our members are loyal and I really like the majority of our commanders. We have the Oceanic presence of T3+, so we definitely have the potential to fly up the ranks.

Plus we also have arguably the coolest server name.

I’ll do another pitch for Eradon! We have a great community here, very hardened WvW’rs with a very positive and team oriented attitude that is hard to match. As most people know, big WvW guilds leaving early on caused us to plummet through the tiers. Thanks to that though, what we’re left with now is the most determined players you can ask for who’ve seen it all. All we need are a few more numbers to make the magic happen!
