New cpu advice for high fps wvwvw
Yes , i will buy new pc and i have some options , like i5-3570k , i7 3370 , i7 3770k
with 680gtx , asus or gigabyte z77 mainboard and 16gb corsair vengeance which one gimme high fps on wvwvw on crowded fights but1.i5 3570k (not overlocked) vs i7 3770k (not overlocked) vs i7 3770
2.when i5 3570k overlocked vs5 3770k overclocked vs i7 3770 ( i wanna see what it reacts against overlocked cpus)
1.i5 is fine for gaming i7 is for video editing and photoshop
2.Is that question or a statement
I use a ROG laptop with an i7 and the older 560gtx….I only lag when there’s 100v100v100 in the lord’s room at SM castle.
That being said, if you’re Intel only, I’d stick to the i7 minimum or the 8 core equiv in AMD. Vid looks fine and 16g or more ram will be super.

I have an 3570K overclocked to 4.5GHz and a GTX 560ti. This system is plenty for WvW and is only limited by the graphics card.
for safety, limit your fps to 60.
gw2 has reputations for burning graphic cards….
Archeage = Farmville with PK
a) i5+ > amd
b) ghz > cores/threads
i5 3570k overlocks slightly higher than i7 3770k.
afaik, for the prupose of GW2, i5=i7, when all other conditions are equal.

Yep, unless an application takes advantage of hyper-threading (most games do not) an i5 is effectively the same as an i7. Save yourself $100 and just get the 3570 instead of the 3770. I recently overclocked my i5 3570k and my graphics card and this is what I found:
CPU: i5 3570k (3.4ghz factory)
GFX: 7850 OC edition (920 clock 1250mhz factory OC)
Other: 16gb ram, HyperX SSD, etc.
Settings are everything high/maxed, Vsync on, 1920×1200.
Before OCing my CPU and graphics card, I would get about 40-55 FPS in normal zones/situations, with FPS dropping to 20-25 in large WvW zergs. After OC’ing my CPU to 4.2ghz and my card to 1000 clock and 1300mhz, FPS is consistently at 55-60 in normal situations and was literally just at 30-38 FPS in a large zerg attacking Bay.
Less scientifically, I notice things running “smoother.” Significantly less initial zone/area stutter, etc. Hopefully this helps.

thx for all answers and Xirin yes u helped really too much
by the way people an also intel said we add lack of thermal on i5 3570k so also we are not happy for this , and have some temperature problems , did u ever faced ??
i clocked my 3570k at 4.8 ghz (1.485 volt) … and temperature stays below 95 °C over the course of 12 hours of prime95 (ivvy bridges throtle at 105 °C). ingame (gw2) the cpu is at 65-70 C°. i wouldn’t advice to try this with a standard cooler.
the termal grease instead of solder used by intel to make contact between they cpu die and the heat spreader (i think it’s that what you are refering to) has raised some eyebrows on some of the hardcore pc hardware review sites but i consider it a non issue.

Buy a real cooler, you don’t have to buy an expensive one but get rid of that intel cooler they’re really bad.
I gained a hell of a lot fps in WvWvW by doing this.

so for example i5 3570k overlocked with akasha venom enough and maybe little bit better than i7 3770k overlocked with akasha , we can say this ??
by the way if i wont overlock my pc
which one will win on gaming performance or high fps fight on zergs
i5 3570k or i7 3770k or i7 3770
I run an i7 2600K overclocked to 4.2ghz (though I can hit 5ghz) and with two 480 GTX cards, my framerate is ok in SLI setup. However there still needs to be optimized drivers made as there are more intense games than GW2 and I get higher framerates.
There has not been a single video game that I loved that hasnt been filled with a lot of bugs and have yielded me the lowest framerates when compared to other games of the same generation.
I get a higher framerate playing 16 players on a HUGE map than I get in GW2.
Sorry for doublepost
HUGE MAP = Civilization 5 ( I get higher FPS on a more demanding, CPU/GPU oriented game than on GW2 which was said originally that anyone can play on medium end PCs)
an i7 3770k is 100 mhz faster than an i5 3570k at standard clocks (it’s a almost a crime imho to leave those beauties at standard clock speed anyway). ‘maybe’ a game exist where the i7 has a more than 3 % framerate lead on the i5 (the 100 mhz diff) at the standard clock speeds, but i haven’t heared of a game like that yet and i don’t expect any game to do it anytime soon.
go with the i5 3570k, save 100 bucks on the cpu and spend it maybe somewhere else like an (bigger) ssd, more expensive graphics card, better cpu cooler (than the standard intel one), …

I have
Windows 7 64Bit , AMD FX-8150 3.6GHz
8GB G.Skill DDR3 Memory, Corsair Enthusiast Series TX750 V2 – 80 PLUS Bronz, Cooler Master HAF XM Mid Tower Chassis (Black),
sus 1GB GeForce GTX 560TI DirectCUII PCI-E Graphics Card
I run a solid 60 fps, hardly ever lag and only get severe fps drops in huge battles, even then i rarely go below 25.
