Some people told me last night that there
are new items that will be available for badges come
February. I had to log off last night during WvW,
and was not able to hear more about it.

Has anyone heard the same thing, or know where
this information was posted?

Apparently you will be able to acquire Ascended items from WvW sometime in the near future.

The WvW update is in February. This will likely bring Ascended gear which may or may not be purchased with Badges – anyone who says it’s guaranteed or confirmed are probably full of it.

Nothing has been confirmed at this point. Anet is definitely working on something though.
