Well new updates have their own pros and cons, well me for certain and one am happy to have something new to have in wvw to do now. Yes no matter how worse and OP this seige disabler is, you have to say that this is one of the things that is going to shape the wvw in a new way.

Before this we were all Q,Qing about how enemy would golem rush your BL, and even having guards on anything didnt help with the reaction time, they get enough golems for your keep, yes 10omega golem rush. This can be taken as average, you couldnt stop them blob no matter what else you tried. And by the time your team would get there, they would be working on the inner gate and rushing inside. Your fully upgraded keep would be stripped. I for one am happy, if the attackers are getting on your BL now you have atleast some advantage on getting them and defending some thing with odds favouring you a little bit. Its not like only im doing it to them, if im doing it to them they can also use the same seige disabler on our invaders as well.

Q.Q all we want, but this is going to put a dent into the golem rush and karma trains meta. Yes and seeing that how they changed that you have to ress the lord manually now, it actually favours the attacking side a bit in ensuring their victory now. Now people cant rush in ressing the lord again and again. If you break into the inner, you are actually getting the flow in your favour. Now the defending side is against the odds more.

I personally am loving this new meta now. And its going to change of atleast somehow affect the WvW too. And yes comparing EOTM and WvW, in my opinion WvW should have atleast better rewards and the chests should now deserve to get a buff. Whether its badges, or chances on the loot. I would love to see actually a buff in this part too. And there is always room for improvement and come on we should actually appreciate them for doing a bit, (considering they had forgotten there was WvW in gw2).

Also another thing is, why can you only buy trap with gold now. I guess i would actually welcome a option buying the traps with badges and karma too. It wouldnt be too hard to implement, as you already have that option with the seige too.

better rewards would atract queensdale walking bags, but by the other hand would might help revitalize wvw top, i can imagine top tiers would with an influx and probably queue and some “looters” would return to their respective server.

They should at least prevent people from using it if they outnumber their enemy.

We couldn’t sneak-recap our keep last night because 2 enemies kept disabling our catas whilst their zerg was dominating the rest of the map.

Have you tried playing in a small group/havok? It doesn’t sound like you have and having siege disabled for 45 seconds just as you get to the inner gate as you try to ninja pretty much means ggwp. This promotes nothing other than having to run in zergs and discourages small groups from capping anything other than camps.

No idea what Anet’s mentality behind this was, were they hoping that it would help small groups defend against a zerg? It barely slows down zergs and completely hinders a small group’s chances of taking anything significant. Anet should just get a public test server but apparently they’re worried about living world spoilers (sounds like a bullkitten excuse much like their other excuses).

EXACTLY, THIS. When I DO offend (I normally don’t – I normally DEFEND) it is usually a small team doing it. No less than just me (lol) and no more than what will fit in a single “party”… I LOVED 3 manning towers, even against 1 or 2 defenders (that obviously didn’t know what they were doing LOL). Now, kiss that goodbye. They wont even need to know what to do, they’ll spam disablers until they can get their “support” in to help them defend >.<

You’re kidding right, if anything these ENCOURAGE golem rushes.

You do know this disables SIEGE for 45 seconds right
but GOLEMS for ONLY 20

Imagine the below:
Golem rush, 20 golems, they also bring designated disablers. Offenders disable any and all defensive siege they can. Lets even say defense disables all 20 golems. Where will we be in 20 seconds? I do not know, come back 25 seconds LATER after the defensive siege WORKS AGAIN… (I’ll tell you what, 25 seconds later they’ll be on the lord, because it aint gonna take no 20 golems more than 25 seconds to break in anything that aint being defended, and it wont be because it’ll be disabled for 25 more seconds)…

So, have fun with this new game breaking item if you like it so much

Me, I’ll be quitting at the end of the month if they don’t COMPLETELY REMOVE these MISTAKES…

Think and work harder? Have you tried ninjaing a keep only to be stopped by a siege disabler and seeing outnumbered pop up as you see the Big red “X” on the rams. Honestly most of the people in favor of siege disabler sound like all they do is zerg with the occasional defending. When they are attacking an enemy keep they can stay in the safety of their zerg with excess supply to blow through and when they are defending they will do a call out and wait for their zerg to come save the day for them.

This item is such a waste of resource which could have been used to do something useful with WvW like eeeeeeh GUILDTAGS people been asking for since launch?

No idea where Anet got this idea from, i regularly roam the forums and read up on some incredible stupid suggestions like siege ladders or even funnier, “close wvw at night times”

But this is just well, beyond me and yes i had some fun stalling 50+ with their rams being unable to smash since i had 10 of them traps. But that should not be around in a game like this.
All in all a poorly implemented trick and not thought through. ( But hey thats typical with you Anet guys isnt it )

The ability to spam this is ridiculous. I like the idea behind it. A few can buy those precious minutes to bring in reinforcements but allowing a small group to effectively stop a larger one in its tracks nearly indefinitely has made sieging an unbearable PIA.

1 or 2 people able to stall a larger group 5-8 is awesome
However 1or 2 people effectively stopping 5-8 for a very long time is not so Ok.

Plus it doesn’t break a zerg, think of the NW tower in Bl’s with a zerg of 15 people. If 5 of them sit at the disabled rams and the other 10 go build and fire cata’s that tower is still going down. Not to mention a large zerg and PvD.
