Guild Wars 2

So before i get to questions a little background…

I come from a heavy RvR background of playing DAoC (mid/guin), SB, and WHO. In DAoC i loved running in a stealther group and having several stealthers line up attacks then use massive frontloaded stealth attack damage to either instantly kill squishies or in 1 – 2 moves. Then blitz back into stealth and pull back then turn around and do it again. My questions are….

1.) Do thieves in GW act like this?
2.) are they wanted in groups

if not either of these what is another class that is currently strong in WvW.

Yes thieves do this all the time! And they are wanted in 5 man camp capping groups but not so much in bigger organized groups

The pure stealth class here is the thief. Yes they do camp brides and some act in grps.

The kind of play-style your describing would be a havoc squad or solo roaming Thief, when it comes to large fights you cant afford to be full glass cannon spec as you would usually revive more people then you kill through rallies.

Not going to comment about the blatant server advertising in a completely off topic thread, but regardless – if you haven’t played GW2 thieves are pretty much fit into the rogue archetype of a lot of MMO’s. If you were an nightshade, its pretty much the same kinda stuff – smash clothies with a high burst combo and sneak/evade out of the crap. In WvW they mostly roam, but can be good with small havoc for ganking teams and ninjas of towers/keeps where their DPS is usually needed and an essential part of the team.

i’ve facing groups of 6-8 thiefs +1 or 2 mesmers,i can say it is normal to find tealther group.
