Hello. I just came back to GW2 and began playing WvWvW. I played Edge of the Mists and thought it was fun because there were big fights constantly and those things. Then I went on to Mist War, which I thought would be better but was very disappointed because I rarely found someone, never saw a fight though. This was kind of a let down since one thing I got excited about of returning to GW2 was what I read of how WvW was. Why is there very few people on Mist War, or was it only me? I play on Darkhaven if it helps.

Thanks

EotM is filled with a lot of PvE type people who are looking for a good karma train. It is currently the best spot in the game for that.

As for Darkhaven, it just might have been the time you tried to play.

I don’t know where you found big fights on EotM when no one actually fight in that fricken map most of time…

As for finding fights on the Mist War, Eternal Battleground is usually the map where you can always find someone down here on the bronze tiers (Where Darkhaven reside). If you are looking for action on the borderlands, there are times where you’re problably not going to find them because of the nature of lower populated servers.

Darkhaven have a good population during NA primetime and during SEA primetime, so these are the hours where you are likely to find fights.

Keep in mind that the population gaps are lower in EotM, due to it lumping several servers into one color. During certain timeslots Red in particular might be heavily outnumbered, but there are at least people to play with.

Lower tiered servers, Tier 3 and below, tend to have severe coverage gaps. If you returned a light time for DH or it’s opponents you wouldn’t have found many of the larger fights.

EotM is generally not a good measuring stick for WvW fights, due to many people running it for Karma and other rewards, and often actively avoiding fights. Moreover, a lot of players tend to be uplevels. Far less so in regular WvW.

My advice would be to try it again during NA primetime, and join your server community TS, if only to find out where the fights are.

How in the world are you in the bronze tier if you have SEA coverage?

My posts are facts as I know them, or my own opinion, and do not represent any guild.

Depends on where on the world you live. If you live outside of North America, your low tier server and opponents have very few people online (usually less than 20 people across all 4 maps). More people as you go higher up the tiers.

That’s untrue for DH friend… They can easily put up two 25+ zergs during NA prime time, and they are able to put a 20+ zerg during SEA (which most servers down here can’t).

Saying that every server down here have less 20 people across all maps during NA Primetime is a lie. Not even on my server, which is the lowest of all, this is true. We can put up 30-40 people during NA prime.

Jeknar is the 30-40 people during NA prime on reset only or in general throughout the week with higher on reset?

Just wondering about how well you alls NA prime would fare against higher ranked servers NA prime.

Interested to know because I was surprised by how many NA prime GoM put out on reset. They have at least one guild that is bigger than any we have on SBI ranked 4 spots higher. And we can beat YB and DB’s NA.

I think its time for a tournament of NA prime.

Thats a consistent number over the week during 8pm-11pm EST, the problem is that this last around 3 hours and after midnight EST, this drop to 10 or less depending of how bad things are.

You don’t need to wonder how we would fare against higher ranked server, you can already see it. SoR and SF on T7 are already beating us… ET don’t have population to stay out of T8.

My statement is a generalisation (pretty accurate one) of non-NA hours. Consider that T1 servers sometimes struggle with more than 40 players after 1am PST (one 15-20 zerg and the rest havoc groups, roamers and scouts), it’s hard to call anything under T6 as ‘alive’. It’s definitely for those interested in looking to get away from zergs, and not a great introduction to the game mode when you can barely find a zerg 16 hours of the day

Best bet to find fights is to join a guild that focuses WvW, and then tap on some keeps. That always brings the boys to the yard (unless you are fighting YB, and then you learn about what a siege cap is.)
