I was checking the Millenium WvW ranking and almost drop my jaw on the keyboard when I saw a few servers dropping 15 rankings and others rising 21.I don’t remember this site misstaking but it is really hard to belive on this.

Also read the blue box at the top of the matches page on the MOS site. These two things should help you understand what’s going on this week.

Until ArenaNet announces their “new math”, the MOS site is going on the same formula, but assigning everybody an initial score of 1500.
The resultant prediction shows how weak the system is when evaluating only against your tier mates. Unless some other metrics are added into the mix, average population, siege placed, keeps defended, keeps taken, amount of time queues are full, gold spent, armor repaired, and so on, the evenly matched opponents are considered mid-tier. Unevenly matched opponents lead to being sent to the top and bottom of the rankings. The announcement by Habib about the reset situation didn’t explain the “details”. So we wait, and wonder.

really, there should be at least some sort of points gap between tiers to start with, 100 points perhaps…..e.g. tier 1 1600, tier 2 1500 , tier 3 1400 etc etc…..

Heard from a friend from a friend from a friend that WvW participation rate, along with how ‘close’ the scores are between the three servers will affect rankings/tiers.
